Tuohon aikaan tilaukset yleensä tehtiin postikortilla, jossa oli
valmiiksi painettu tilaajan eli kauppiaan osoite. Myös tavaran
toimittajalla oli valmiita kortteja, joilla lisätilaukset tehtiin. Posti
kulki vikkelästi. YT SSS

Eihän se osuuskauppa, ravintola, sotilaskoti tai mikä muu hyvänsä ole

Numerokoodi yksilöi etiketin. Kauppias tms. soittaa tikkuaskeja
toimittavalle tehtaalle tai keskusliikkeelle ja sanoo koodin sekä
montako kappaletta kyseisen koodin omaavalla etiketillä varustettuja
rasioita tilataan. Koodin perusteella tehdas valmistaa erän ja
toimittaa tilaajalle. Kauppias tms. myy askit vähittäisasiakkailleen,
ja kun loppuvat niin tilaa taas lisää.
Minua kyllä tyydyttää tuo selitys jonka voit lukea aiemmin
mainitsemaltani nettisivulta, joka on siis:

Käsivälitteisistä puhelinkeskuksita on toki muistoja.
Keskukseen soitettiin ja tilattiin puhelu.
Odotettiin kunnes puhelin pirahti, että yhteys oli muodostettu.
Etiketeistä. R, radio tai radiohuuto on hyvin monissa etenkin 30- luvun
etiketeissä.
En oikein uskoi sen liittyvä tilaukseen tai "radio-" sanan käyttöön
noin.
Tuo esiintyy hyvin monissA 30- luvun etiketeissä.
Kaupat, varuskunnat, sotilaskodit... ja monissa muissa.
Tokkopa etikettejä tilattaessa käytettäisiin niin outoa yhdistelmää
kuin "radiohuuto ja numerosarja."
Kun osassa etiketeissä on myös puhelinnumerot.
Siitä vain soittamaan, että tarvitaan näitä etikettejä.
Mielestäni tuo liittyy muunlaiseen kommunikointiin.
Siksi mietin olisiko mukana radio?
Osassa etikettejä ei ole lainkaan puhelinnumeroja vain tuo radio.
Mutta pikkukaupoilla ym. tuskin oli radiota kera lähettimen ja taitoa
plus edes lähetysupaa.

Sehän oli siis tilauskoodi, jolla tulitikkurasioiden myyjä on voinut
tilata tehtaalta lisää samanlaisella painatuksella (liikkeen logo &
yhteystiedot jne.) varustettuja askeja. "Radio" on ollut ajankohtainen
sana, joten sillä on merkitty yksi etikettisarja. En usko että siinä on
takana sen kummempaa. Muita mainittuja on ollut "Kerho" ja "Valio".
"Radiohuuto" ('radio call' ) numerosarjoineen on ollut etikettiä
yksilöivä tunnus (ikään kuin kutsumerkki), vaikka radiotekniikan kanssa
sillä ei ole ollut mitään tekemistä.
Alkuaikoina radioaseman tunnusta tai kutsumerkkiä tarkoittava
englanninkielen sana 'call' käännettiin suomeksi usein sanalla 'huuto'.
Käsivälitteisten puhelinkeskusten aikaan puhelun saattoi saada
tilatuksi pelkällä vastaanottajan nimellä, ainakin pienissä
keskuksissa, jolloin puhelinnumeron asemesta saatettiin yhteystiedoissa
ilmoittaa "nimihuuto".
Vanhat tulitikkuetiketit ovat kuin pieniä ikkunoita menneisyyteen.

Se voi olla merkintänä "R" tai tekstinä "Radio" tai "Radiohuuto" ja sen
perässä numerosarja.

"Radio 2038." Velj. Asikainen, Karjala "Radio 2954."
Useimmissa on mukana myös puhelinnumero erikseen.
Valkjärven sotilaskodin etiketissä pelkästään tuo radio.
Tuo varuskunta lakkautettiin 1938 ennen

Responses to my obs of ``no report received`` from Trenton Military: In the UDXF iog: ``Michael Scheel, Oct 5 #111948, After seeing that Glenn Hauser reporting via his log online that he hadn't heard Trenton for a while. I tried it just now (2032z) and hearing it weak but readable via a SDR in the Midwest. The broadcast consisted of a roll call of several terminals with "no report received".`` And Oct 5-6 on the WOR iog: ``Tuned into Trenton Military on 6754 kHz starting at 0031 UTC (S9+20 signal into central NC) and heard several actual weather reports for Shannon, Prestwick (sp?), and Keflavik, however after that, everything else was "no report received" for all other locations (Shearwater, Greenwood, Gander, Halifax, Trenton, Bagotville, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Cold Lake, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Abbotsford, Comox, Victoria, Vancouver). As usual the station clock reports the current Eastern Daylight Time as Zulu time.
