If you can separate the bad QSOs by group number then you could try to filter the offending QSOs and remove them by using multiple QSO operations/Delete QSOs. You could also try to export the log (File/Export/DX4WIN8) and then create a completely new log and import the exported log into the new log and select Imported QSO is ignored as the option for the duplicate QSOs. I hope that helps. 73 de Teijo OH6NIO __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

You can change that to date range. Please read the title of the message carefully! Once again I'm not trying to filter QSO date but the QSL date. The range seems to work for QSO date filtering however it does not seem to work for QSL Date filtering although the DX4Win help so suggests. Maybe the function is correct but the help needs some correction. Anyway the range feature for QSL date filtering would be a nice function. 73 de Teijo OH6NIO __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] QSL DATE filtering
Is it possible to filter the log with QSL DATE range? It seems that I can only filter greater or equal to the specified QSL DATE and with 01/01/1901 for empty ones. DX4Win help is not very clear on this. The note concerning the dates (QSO and QSL) says: DX4WIN can search for dates that are greater and equal to the date specified, an exact date or a date range. It seems that this note is correct for QSO Date search but not for QLS Date search. 73 de Teijo OH6NIO __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Does it mean a dupe like in a contest i.e. a separate contact that has been made on the same band but at a different time? I think that in this case it is a bad idea to remove the dupes from the log. The dupe contact might be the only one that is both in your log and the other stations log. The first occurence might not be in the other stations log at all for some reason (he/she worked somebody else, had a computer glitch etc). On the other hand I have noticed that my log contains some QSOs that are separated only by seconds. They have resulted by importing the same log twice into another logging sw that I used before DX4Win. This kind of contacts I have removed manually which was time consuming. 73 de Teijo OH6NIO __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] RDA contest and Convert ADIF to DX4WIN
Lainaus Jim Reisert AD1C jjreis...@alum.mit.edu: The RDA (Russian District) contest was this past weekend. The Convert ADIF to DX4WIN program has some ability to populate the Custom Award fields from the RDAs you logged: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/adif2dxq/ It appears N1MM and maybe WriteLog are both supported, but probably not Win-Test. If you used a logger besides N1MM and WriteLog, and want me to add support for RDA, please send me the ADIF file exported from your logging software. 73 - Jim AD1C Hi Jim, I noticed that in DX4Win the districts of MA area (Moscow city) are limited to MA-10 but in the RDA contest there was a station that gave me MA-12 which is also listed in the RDA web page http://rdaward.org/rdac1.htm (link RDA List). So the following districts are missing from the dx4win.awd: MA-11 NOVOMOSKOVSKY MA-12 TROITSKY I tested adif2dxq briefly yesterday with the RDA contest adif file and it seemed to populate the award fields. I have to check again that the populated fields are really the ones that I had in the WinTest log. 73 de Teijo, OH6NIO __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Problem with report listing of German SDOK
I am using DX4Win 8.05 and dx4win.awd version 3.26. Whenever I try to generate a German Sonder-DOK report I wil get an error dialog that shows: An exception occurred! [Dx4win] Error creating new selection names

[Dx4win] Lost everything
I would not count on a diskette as the only backup. Over the years I have thrown away many bad diskettes. My log-file is 18M+ so it will not fit on a diskette even if I zipped it. I do not want to span the zipped file over a couple of diskettes either. I have burnt my log-file on a CD. For those who have a fast internet connection (not a dial-up) a good idea is to upload the file to a server on the Internet or send the file by email to some of the available free web-mail accounts. [Dx4win] Small improvement
I receive a lot of cards from the buro because I am very active contester. I have now more than 200k QSOs in the log and I have been satisfied with the program so far. When I answer the received QSL-cards I usually have a stack of them on the table and I type them one by into DX4WIN. When I am typing the calls into DX4WIN and confirm/label them with f2-key I usually routinely push f8-key and immediately start to type the next card on the stack without looking at the screen. This routine makes it very fast for me to answer the received QSL-cards but I would like to see a small improvement in the next version. This good routine is sometimes disturbed when the received QSL is a new country and DX4WIN opens a dialog to submit the QSL. Adding an audible tone when the submit-dialog opens would help me a lot. I would immediately stop typing and look at the monitor. This small feature would make the best logging SW even better. I have already tried to change Windows sound properties without much of luck.
