Harry and all, Yes, that clarifies things. Pins 7 and 8 of the DE9 connector at the K2 end of the cable must NOT connect to the K2 AUX IO connector. But the wires coming from the cable (NOT from the D-sub connector), can be connected together. Yes it was a typo it should have been RTS The RTS (Request To Send) and CTS (Clear To Send) probably don't need to be tied together but some programs may want it so I tied them together. It appears to me that the only AUX connector pins that are used by this proposed cable are 2, 3, and 5.If the K2 will accept RS-232 levels without damage then I don't see how any damage can be done by the proposed cable.
