Rules to catch keywords in the subject header
What is the best way to set up rules to handle incoming messages that have specific keywords in the subject line? My main email address has been on the web for 10 years, is listed in books, and is on every spam list in creation. So what I do is have Entourage set to EXCLUSIVE, only email from people already in my address book can get through. And on my web site, it says to put a keyword in the subject header, such as meditation or yoga. Then I have a bunch of rules that I set up YEARS ago to grab these messages from people who are not in my address book, but who use the proper keyword. This mostly works well, but occasionally, every week or so I find one that was mistakenly put in the junk mail folder. Is there a better way to do this? Is the MLM better? And with rules, should I have a separate rule for each keyword, or include two or three in the same rule? Thanks. I have a similar situation in that I get emails from people not in my Address Book all the time. I have rules that move mail with specific subjects to a folder and it works great. I use only one criterion. I have my spam filter set to High. I rarely get good mail in my spam filter. I also sort my spam folder by Account. This helps me identify the good mail since there is only one account that users send their questions to for help.
