[expert] X uses LOTS of memory
I am using LM7.2 with an nVidia TNT Riva 32M graphics card. Using top, I noticed that the X process was using about 45% of the memory - 56M out of a total of 128M. Why should X use so much memory? I have since installed the nVidia drivers (which worked first time!), but now see X using 145% of the memory: 191M!. Hence, swap is very much in use.
