[expert] lock screen

I upgraded my ML8 system to ML9.0. I attempted to use te lock screen 
function, and it has ceased to function correctly. It was working under ML8.0

We need more info to help.  What Desktop environment are you using and have 
you made any updates to the system?

and when you say ceased to function correctly in what way? screen not 
locked? does not accecpt pasword? does not have the same screen saver you had 
before? when you say upgraded do you mean a clean new install? an install 
over teh old partitions without formating? update only or did you update 
packages only?

Desktop enviroment is KDE 3

I believe that I upgraded via an update packages scheme since I did not load 
in a clean install and I did not redo the partitions.

Currently, when I click on lock screen, nothing happens.

Disregard the thread, problem solved Turns out that the screen saver to be 
used had been flushed as a result of the upgrade. Thus when I went to lock 
the screen, an invalid screen saver was selected. I simply selected one the 
the few screen savers left, and TADA! fixed!

Thanks for the replies. Sometimes one can't  see the forest 'cause the trees 
are in the way!
