As you probably know, our desktop graphics tend to be abstract. And we
recently started a gallery for additional photographic wallpapers:

Attached is a wallpaper i knocked up just for this into and seems
appropriate for this occasion.

This is an interesting concept and I can see how it can be turned into a
Fedora-related metaphor.

However, there are a couple of things about it: first, we try to *not*
include the logo in wallpapers, keep them very light on branding to
encourage reuse. And the second thing is also logo related: it you used
it anyway, try to integrate it in the image, such a big white
contrasting rectangle is not good for usability: it will attract the
viewer's attention (a good wallpaper don't do this).

Look forward to working with you all

One of the good points about many FLOSS applications is that they are
available on wide range of platforms. So you can use gimp both in Fedora
and Windows, dunno about blender. One another great FLOSS app that you
should consider learning is Inkscape [1]. It's for vector-based image
creation and I think it resembles Corel Draw a little with it's UI. It's
also pretty powerful, generally (IMHO) easy to use and has a Windows
port [2] available as well, which might be positive for you. There is
also a wide range of tutorials for it on various web {sites, logs}, like
here [3].

Certainly Blender has a Windows version too (and I really wish I had

the Linux version, of course - it is still somewhere far way in a TODO

Those images are made with Blender or are you using another 3D modeling

Hopefully I will be up to speed,
with linux art by the time maybe F10-11 comes about.

Right now we approach the final stage of F9 theming, will have to polish
some desktop graphics, create some website graphics and some print
materials. There is also the continual icon development stuff, GTK+
stuff and a lot of smaller tasks [1], fell free to get your feet wet
