I'll take a look. It could be that the default shaders are using constructs that aren't supported on older hardware, or provoke bugs there, or are buggy themselves in ways that don't show up on post G80 hardware. From my personal perspective this would be nice to have, but I don't call this being an 'urgent' item. If I really feel I need these shaders, then I'll simply put another graphics card - until then I'll leave the shaders out by default (as I used to do before). Nevertheless, if you need a test, give me a shout.
