FLUXLIST: Projet Rhizomes - Rhizomes Project
In the email today... I am contating you again for a new on line project entitled "rhizomes". The concept of Rhizome is n't new on the internet : this project is an attempt to set up experimental and ephemeral collective work. Users guide : If you want take part in this project, you will have to be a member of the rhizome... _ to qualify for this, you have to host an image and 2 html files, _ If you agree, confirm it by sending me an e-mail, _ I will send you the image, _ Then you give me the adress of the folder in wich you have placed the image, _ I will send you the 2 html files place them in the same folder as the image, _ Finaly , piece by piece the rhizomatic image will be constructed by all its members... Explain : " the rhizome is a accentré, nonhierarchical system and not meaning, without Général, organizing memory or central automat, only defined by a circulation of states. " " a rhizome does not start and does not come to anything, it is always in the medium, between the things, inter-to be, intermezzo. The tree is filiation, but the rhizome is alliance, only of alliance. The tree forces the verbre " to be ", but the rhizome has as a fabric the conjunction " and... and... and... ". There is in this conjunction enough force to shake and to uproot the verb being (...) Between the things does not indicate a relation localisable which goes from the one to the other and reciprocally, but a perpendicular direction, a transverse movement which carries them one and the other, brook without beginning nor end, which corrodes its two banks and takes speed in the medium. What would really be great is to start something like adding a human tear drop to the coffee before drinking it, as in bending over the cup, pulling one's eyelid down to make it water and drop a tear in the coffee. Do you think you could get that to catch on? I would go to Starbucks (if other Fluxlisters did first) to help spread this... -Josh Ronsen http://www.nd.org/jronsen

Re: FLUXLIST: passion for fashion
I don't see myself as having a "passion for fashion", but I do have two shirts that feature the name "Fluxus" (as a "brand name" - from top of shirt to bottom). One shirt has random imagery/text added at random times to random areas on the shirt while the other just features the "logo" alone. Compared to the ideas that I've heard here it's a rather boring idea, but, again: no "passion for fashion".Rod = http://rostasi.8m.com http://www.forcedexposure.com/artists/hunt.jerry.html Utilizing the blades of technology on the facial hair of imagination __ Do You Yahoo!?
