Have you tried another browser to see if the problem might be with Safari? Personally, I don't use Safari any more--found too many times it wouldn't work right for me. I switch off between FireFox and iCab when I want to do any online work. Well, Safari was working. Now it only loads part of the page and then does nothing. Internet Explorer in OS 9 is working (it's what I'm using as I type this message.) I will try Firefox and see what happens. But not even software update works. -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Have you tried other web pages in Safari? Does your email client still work? Have you tried another web browser? Kurt None of Apple's OS X internet-based applications (like Mail, Safari, Software Update) work on the internet. Yet, the network repair utility thing in 10.4 says everything is fine. I've reinstalled 10.4 to no avail, yet works in OS 9. I tried Netscape in OS X - same story as Safari. I wonder if Firefox would be any better? -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Re: Internet problems in 10.4.2
Hi Everyone – I have fixed the problem. I recently placed a new router on my network. Last night, I updated the firmware, and this must have caused a problem. However, I downgraded to the original firmware, and all is well now. Thanks for all of the suggestions and help. -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and...
