[Goanet] The goonda minister should resign immediately or else..
The goonda minister should resign immediately or else.. The brutal attack in Panjim The minister who is the main suspect or of whom evry body talked about should step down immediately (on moral grounds or pending invetigation). If not Digu Kaka should sack him. If that does not happen the the Governor should sack the present govt.(calling fresh elections) or if nothing happerns then the people (the people power) should sack the Minister or the Govt. What's the point of saving Goa if we allow these sort of things in Goa? Shame on us. Because we are the people who elect such goondas. Knives and swords are used in the attacks. Folks, you are not waching bollywood movie. This is actually happening in Goa. And it happend last night Where Aires Rod Prajal etc were bruttaly attacked. It's time to do something, It's time to do something NOW. Wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured in the last night's attack. I support Aires Rodrigues I support Prajal Sakardhande I support all those who support Goa. What about you?? [Goanet] The goonda minister should resign immediately or else..
Hi All, One must remember that minsters or MLAs, once elected think that they are above the law (no matter which party they belong to). They NEVER seem to understand that they are elected to SERVE, not command. These ministers or MLAs think that the Police are THEIR servants, which is not true. This fundamental principle has to be implemented first. If not, this sort of behaviour will happen all the time no mater which party is in power. Just before the Goa election, one minister had a party at his house whereby drugs were freely available AND the police were informed BY THE MINISTER, the police commissioner put guards in front of his noisy house, so that he is not disturbed by others, while he was allowed to disturb his neighbours and others. By the way he was a Goa Congress MLA. To stop this abuse of service towards the public happening there should be a committee to investigate the ministers and other civil servants, just like they have one in UK, Keith Vaz is under investigation at the moment. No one is above the law, but in INDIA the Ministries and the MLAs think they are. Public servants ie MLAs and Ministers are Law makers not law enforces. They are just public servants (to serve the public and thus do good to the public). Who and How can one put this into their heads? is the question. These MLA's and Minister's fundamental belief that they have power to do anything and get away with it, has to be erased from their brains. Again, only Police are Law enforcers not the MLAs or Ministers. ED. PS. to quote Joegoauk: Because we are the people who elect such goondas. REPLY:- Next time make sure that you elect an EDUCATED goonda, who has some, humility. Gabe, every passionate Goan should hear your words about Catholic Goan customs. We as a people have lost passion. We have become so emasculated that perhaps only a few of us know that we have balls. If the parents, Babush and Jennifer, know it is really their son, then instead of saving him blindly — at the very least they should tie him to a coconut tree, pour sur (toddy) over him, and invite Goans to watch. Many people will be horrified to read this, but they will survive this reading. Do this for a week at 2 hours intervals. Of course they should have a doctor in attendance. Then Babush and Jennifer should apologize and let justice take its course. This is the kind of patriarchal justice, that people have forgotten and is sometimes needed, because the sins are that of his elders too. As a kid, this is what I saw at B.P.T. Quarters in Wadala. In front of my building #29. A young man had allegedly raped a woman. His father — a Muslim, had him paraded through our colony — I cannot remember whether he was partially or completely naked, but he was chained, manacled and in a hobble (I think in Koknni it is known as a bedi). Before that he was chained to the small pipal tree near our building. All the elders were in attendance, Muslim and Hindu, and the police. I think it was a deal struck with the police and the community — perhaps the Sena. Trust me it was sombre and medieval. The Hindus were quiet, but the father a Muslim, apologized to everyone who was around as well as went up to people to do so. Thank you Gabe, And what if he is a real culprit behind the brutal attack? And so long as he stays a minister, don't you think he will meddle with the investigation with his influence powers as a minister? Hence, I also said, he should step down pending investigation As for Aires, yes, I remember that infamous Ribandar alleged Priest paedophile Case. There were complaints and counter complaints. People think fighting with priest is like fighting with God, so he was left almost all by himself (with no support). Very elderly tiatrist has recently put thus: 'When priest touches girls/women, they take it as if they have been touched by the God'. Yes, for Goa Police, particularly the Panjim Police, this is the time/chance to sort things out, but again, as said, minister may use his office.. thanks == Goanet] The goonda minister should resign immediately or else.. Venatius, You must be dreaming that Monserates will do what you say. This is a crap family that Taleigao people (goondas, robbers, mafias, people with no moral values, etc) keep on electing. And any Govt whether Congress or BJP keeps giving him the cabinet post. Everyone is scared of Monserates including the CM as well as the goan journalists. When the news of his son's involvement first surfaced in the press, Navhind times as well as Heraldo did not provide minister's name or even his title. It took an Indian mewspaper to identify the minister. What is the use of having journalists when they have no guts to expose the mighty. Regards, jp
