I have logged a few of Radio Taiwan International's English language
broadcasts here in rural central Alaska a few times, sometimes better then
others.

On Wednesday September 7th at 1547UTC, I logged the English broadcast on
11685khz. I would give this reception a SINPO Rating of 22232. The signal
was poor with lots of static, fading and noise plus if you listen closely,
you'll clearly hear interference from another radio station on the same or
nearby channels.

I made a 4 1/2 minute recording. At about 6 seconds in, you very clearly
hear a male say "Radio Taiwan International". What follows sounds like a
language learning segment, english and mandarin or other asian language.

That 4 1/2 mintue recording is here:

On May 22nd, 2016 at 1123UTC, I heard an English broadcast from RTI as well
on 11600khz. The audio quality was not that great, it sounded like a
serious echo was going on. It appears to be some kind of interview program
between a man and a female RTI presenter. The signal overall was on the
lower side of good.

On September 8th at 0356UTC, I logged the 15320khz english broadcast. I
would give it a SINPO rating of 12112.There is ALOT of static/atmospheric
noise on the channel and the signal is very weak. I recorded 5 minutes
worth and took the 3 best segments of the reception and put them together.

In the first part of this one clip which is 11 seconds, a male gives out a
frequency and time schedule. In the second part of this clip which is 9
seconds, the same man gives out what I assume is the PO Box mailing address
for RTI. In the 3rd and final part of this clip, that same man says simply
"Radio Taiwan International"

I warn you, the reception is really rough and If I didn't know what to look
for, this would be impossible to have nailed down. Here's the link to the

On June 25th, 2016 at 1112UITC, I heard an English broadcast on 7445khz.
The signal was about an 8 out of 10 overall. There was only light fading
with no interference from other stations and nearly no atmospheric
noise/interference.

My recording starts with what sounds like a native English speaker talking
about the origin of boat races.

A 7 minute recording of my reception can be hear here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0wSucGQrfQ

This reception above is slightly above normal/average, but not by too much.

One RTI staffer was a bit surprised I heard the 7445khz signal so well.
