Re: [hlds_linux] Half-Life 1 Dedicated server update released
You only need to use a manual heapsize command if the developer of the mod you are playing (or a map maker for that mod) tells you to add it, it is generally not needed. I made the heapsize change to help out a 3rd party mod that wanted larger assets in game and were hitting the heap limit. - Alfred -Original Message- From: hlds_linux-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com [mailto:hlds_linux- boun...@list.valvesoftware.com] On Behalf Of Ignasi Ibanyez Sent: Sunday, October 02, 2011 2:48 AM To: Half-Life dedicated Linux server mailing list Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Half-Life 1 Dedicated server update released Hello Alfred, Thanks by your work In the new release your announce : - Increased max heapsize of 128mbyte for the dedicated server, default to 40mb still I have a computer in linux with runnings servers half-life mod counter strike When start a server with mod counter-strike (cstrike), I send this instruction ./hlds_run -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +ip 82.98.131.17 +port 27123 +maxplayers 20 -restart -autoupdate +exec server.cfg +sys_ticrate 1001 -pingboost 3 It's necessary add the command heapsize 128 or this command is only for to play the players ?.
