[hlds_linux] Players dropping off on reliable snapshot overflow from server
Anyone else having issues with players dropping off to ERROR! Reliable snaphsot overflow. ? I'm seeing increased counts of this and i talked to 4 of the players who had it and they said it's been going on since recent updates, not before. Personally i haven't experienced this but while i've been playing on a server, i see the same folks connect back to the server that were playing the last map. This message is at fault. Happens on 24 and 30 slot servers both. Just now 7 players dropped off with this message during mapchange. This also seems to affect server reputation. It's not a major issue if you have an old server (like most mine are) but the newest and most populated just can't seem to gather rep at all and players dropping off like this is one reason. This is daily checked rep count from the past 5 days: Your reputation score is 15347, 15218, 15281, 15176, 15169. I'm PS: there is a typo on snaphsot (snapshot). -ics ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

Sorry to inject your discussion, how do you get the reputation score? I'm not playing much lately but I could check into the logs if such message is logged Il 23/08/2011 19:51, ics ha scritto: Anyone else having issues with players dropping off to ERROR! Consider your injection cleaned. With this you can check the rep http://didrole.com/server_reputation it's not that important, i just track that for fun as i have Downward Fast on 3 other servers and this new one is Slightly Upward (when cl_gameserver_list is used on your steam client which the servers are registered in). I'm just curious why this is like it is compared to others. I guess now i know. -ics 23.8.2011 21:07, Marco Padovan kirjoitti: Sorry to inject your discussion, how do you get the reputation score? Re: [hlds_linux] Players dropping off on reliable snapshot overflow from server
I haven't seen that on my own server, but I got booted from another server for this reason after downloading a custom map. As I recall, this was shortly following the Item Server outage yesterday, so it may be related to that? Granted, I had restarted TF2 (to get my loadout back) and reconnected to the server prior to the map change. Incidentally, I've noticed an increasing number of Item Server outages that cause loadout changes to stop working until the client completely exits TF2 and rejoins. It doesn't even show the usual Can't connect to item server thing, you just can't change loadouts.
