Re: IMAP sync tool (rsync for IMAP)
Sort of like rsync for IMAP, if that makes sense. So far, the only tool I've found is imapsync: http://freshmeat.net/projects/imapsync/ Anyone tried it with Cyrus? Good/bad experiences? I just used it to move from 2.1 to 2.3, there were a handful of messages it didn't like (~30 out of a few hundred thousand messages) but it appears to have worked well enough to fix the last few messages manually. most of the errors were cases of invalid headers that 2.3 wouldn't accept, but 2.1 obviously did. I used it to move from Exchange 5.5 to Cyrus 2.3. The tool works great but like David quoted, there where some messages rejected cause of broken headers (Microsoft?!). Re: Sieve rule: move to folder and forward
My problem is, when keep is called, also the spam, which should be moved to Spam goes to my inbox again. But when setting stop in Spam rule, mails detected as spam which aren't, wont be delivered to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Any ideas how to solve this? Put a line stop; after you file the email into the Spam folder. Otherwise, Sieve will continue processing later rules. You get this line if you set the Stop checking if this rule matches? flag in the Spam rule in Ingo In new Versions of Ingo this option is set by default. My problem is, if a mail is wrongly detected as spam, it won't be forwarded to the backup-account. Re: Sieve rule: move to folder and forward
Simple. Reverse the order of the rules. No, the default forward rule from ingo has keep or stop at the end. You need to create a new filter that matches all eMails at the top to forward and continue. Than you yan sort the spam out Ah, when calling keep, mail wont run through further rules? If yes, how should the rule looks like? I can't find an action called continue. Sieve rule: move to folder and forward
Dear list, I'm using Horde/Ingo for creating sieve rules and have activated a rule for Spamassassin moving mails with X-Spam-Status: Yes to spamfolder. Also, there's a rule to forward every mail to another address. Looks like this: require [imapflags, fileinto]; # Spam if header :comparator i;octet :contains X-Spam-Status Yes { addflag \\Seen; fileinto INBOX/Spam; removeflag \\Seen; } # Forward if true { redirect [EMAIL PROTECTED]; keep; } My problem is, when keep is called, also the spam, which should be moved to Spam goes to my inbox again. But when setting stop in Spam rule, mails detected as spam which aren't, wont be delivered to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Any ideas how to solve this? Safe deletion of cyrus.squat
Hi, I want to safely disable Squat. My idea was: 1. Stop cyrus 2. Remove corresponding lines in cyrus.conf 3. Start cyrus 4. cd /var/spool/imap/user/ 5. find . -name 'cyrus.squat' -type f -exec rm {} \; Will I have to do a complete reconstruct or are the 5 steps ok for this? Re: 2.3.3 Replication Documentation
Can someone point me to documentation for setting up and managing the new replication feature in 2.3? I've looked through the cyrus docs folder and man pages but I thought there might be more somewhere. Re: 2.3.3 replication
What happens if you use '-r' instead of '-u' It happens the same. I have tried all options. Every time the same error. If I try the following command as cyrus user /usr/lib/cyrus-imapd/ sync_client -S centos4-vm2 -u I get the following error messages. Can not connect to server 'centos4-vm2' syslog shows the following sync_client[25660]: connect(centos4-vm2) failed: Invalid argument Just type sync_client -u any post what happens. sync_host is already configured in your imapd.conf. You also could dump your connection, perhaps there are some problems with TLS. Re: cyrus + sasl + pam + mysql problem
Is this true? Because: An imapd.conf with sasl_mech_list: PLAIN sasl_pwcheck_method: auxprop sasl_auxprop_plugin: sql sasl_sql_engine: mysql sasl_mech_list: PLAIN sasl_sql_hostnames: localhost sasl_sql_user: mail sasl_sql_passwd: x sasl_sql_database: mail sasl_sql_verbose: yes sasl_sql_select: SELECT password FROM accountuser WHERE username = '%u' sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd Nothing else. All other stuff is handled by imap pam file. b) Then I tried to configure cyrus to use pam (that then use mysql) pwcheck_method: PAM saslauthd! And saslauthd uses pam! If somebody could give me some pointers, it would be very much appreciated! Re: Cyrus autocreate mailboxes
autocreate is not triggered when mailboxes are created by cyrus administrator. It is triggered when a user logs in or a mail is sent to the mailbox and the mailbox does not exist. Take a look at the patch documentation at http://email.uoa.gr/projects/cyrus/autocreate/README.autocreate-cyrus-2.2 Web-cyradm also creates the INBOX for a new user and then the following condition is not met: Create on login iv) The corresponding to the user's authorizationID INBOX folder does not exist. Create on post iii) The recipient's INBOX does not exist.
