Re: [JAWS-Users] Video Editing Programs Compatible With JAWS

2014-08-07 Thread Paul Shallbetter

Hello Jason and all,

Windows Moviemaker is pretty tough, as it puts each video segment on a
timeline that cannot really be accessed by keystrokes (i.e. a mouse is
required). I too asked this question awhile ago, as I do a lot of videos on
youtube.

Hi friend, I also posted this question in the list but unfortunately
didn’t have any response. I think your problem can be solved by windows
movie maker. It’s capable of doing some basic video editing like
cutting trimming. If you want an advanced video editing program there
are another choices like Adobe Premiere Pro, MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, final
cut Pro, Sony Vegas Pro but I don’t know will it work with Jaws? I
think the clever persons in this list can ancer this question. Please help.
Thanks in advance

Hello All,

Is there any programs out there compatible with JAWS that would allow a
person to cut an hour long video that we recorded using our iPhone down to
about 20 or 30 minutes? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I am
using Windows 8 and JAWS 15.

2014-08-07 Thread Josh
I found a program that did the job and seems to have a lot more to offer
than just the trimming that I did. The program I have heard of for quite
some time now, but I had never tried it out until yesterday. The program is
Total Recorder. To an extent the program is free, but I say to an extent
because it tells you that you have full functionality of the program the
only thing is it will place a beep ever so often in the recording. I got my
video trimmed down and listened to my edited file, I never heard the beep,
but their does seem to be periods of silence from time to time that I am not
sure, but this may be what they are talking about. Both their audio only and
their video programs are free to use with these little marks supposedly
place throughout the recording. If anyone knows of any podcasts regarding
Total Recorder or can offer any more information on the program please
enlighten me.

I got the link from the blind technology list and have not tried the link
out myself. If it does not work then I will go and try to retrieve it for

whatever other marks they place in the file price tag is somewhere between
$50 and $70. I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to that since I just need
it for amateur stuff.

With all due respect to Arianna and Simon, Outlook Express in any form does

Microsoft did some updating on their mail client so that Outlook Express is

as I know, that program was abandoned by Microsoft when Windows 7 was

Okay Mike.
Thanks for the update.
We use Outlook over here and it's fine for what we need.

Hi John,

We use OE on 3 Windows7 Pro computers. Outlook Express is in Windows7 but,
it's not accessible unless you know how to make it work a person figured
it out created an executable file that will allow someone to run OE in
Win7 8. Here is the URL:

http://www.rafailb.tk/index.php?itemid=27

It can be downloaded from:

http://www.runasxp.com/showthread.php?tid=1

You have to register to the 2nd website to download the executable. HTH
Take care.

With all due respect to Arianna and Simon, Outlook Express in any form does
not work with Windows 7.

Microsoft did some updating on their mail client so that Outlook Express is
no longer needed. I'd appreciate confirmation from David or Rick but as far
as I know, that program was abandoned by Microsoft when Windows 7 was
developed.

Yes, John, it does work with windows 7 and very nicely, too.

I have installed it on several different makes of laptops and had no
problem.

I doubt you need to worry about that since windows mail comes included in
Vista.

Does anyone know if the version of OE that works with Windows 7 would also
work with Vista? I would like to try it, but I don't want it to mess up my
computer.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Outlook Express with Vista?

2014-08-07 Thread Mike B.
Hi Arianna,

I have both OE Windows Mail installed on 1 of my Win7 Pro computers with
no problems. You will have to set 1 of them as your default email client
it should be okay but, since I'm not using Vista I can't say with 100%
surety that you won't encounter problems. Hopefully someone running both OE
WM on a Vista computer will provide a more sure answer.
Take care.

Hello all.
I found this program on the Jaws-Users site

Thanks in advance.
