Are you sure you installed the right version for your system, i. e. 32 or 64
bit?

You might do better by installing from the actual Firefox web site.

I installed Firefox 60 which I downloaded from ninite.com and Firefox kept
crashing.
I'm not familiar with several of the new setup options. Something having
to do with ads and personalized sponsored links.

How do I get rid of the kludder? Thanks.

2018-05-09 Thread Cristóbal
So for full disclosure, I got my The Old reader issues I mentioned sorted
out.
Turns out, the problem was No Script disabling javascript which was
basically breaking the internet for me. Once I disabled NoScript, That
particular page and others I was dealing with were fine. I guess I have to
go into No Script to play around with the settings a bit more.
I did for whatever reason have a whole bunch of problems trying to get the
1Password extension properly installed and activated, but I eventually got
it to work too.
I suppose speed is fine, but more importantly, the browser just seems to
work now.

Somewhat surprised this hasn’t’ hit the list yet, but anyway… Firefox 60 is
finally out. Both regular and ESr.

So far with the latest Jaws, it seems to be working ok for me. Using the ESR
version in my case.

One frustrating thing though, my homepage which is the all posts page of The
Old Reader (www.theoldreader.com ) is acting
kind of funky.

My list of RSS subs isn’t showing up. Nor are the title subscriptions for
each post. Since this is my home page and I refer to it all the time to
check the news throughout the day, it may be disruptive enough for me at
least that I may go back to the ESR 52.X for now. By any chance is anyone
else who is a user of The Old Reader dealing with this particular issue?

Otherwise, no other problems that I’ve come across yet. I am noticing that I
need to screen refresh and or tab a lot more to get JFW to react or speak,
but I think I started to notice that even in the V 52.0.8 or whatever the
last version of ESR before V 60.

Anyway, for those who’ve been itching to give Firefox 60 a spin, knock
yourselves out.

[JAWS-Users] How to fix a local disk error message...

2018-05-09 Thread Marvin Atkins
Hi all,

Using Win10 1803 for two days now, JAWS 2018 latest, I now get an error message
from Windows saying my local disk (E:\) is low on memory. I went to ‘This PC’
and the E drive is listed there all the time now. Before whatever happened, it
only showed up when I was using the USB port and would go away when I was done
with the USB port. I went into properties of the E drive and it shows the drive
is using 403 MB of 449 MB memory leaving 46 MB left. There are no folders or
files showing in the E drive. I have no clue where the 403 MB is coming from.
The C, or main drive, still shows 200+ GB free. I can still use that USB port
but it gives me F:\ drive now. I’m not sure if I improperly disengaged the USB
the last time I used it or not. Is there any way to fix this problem? All
thoughts will be appreciated.

thanks in advance,
marv

[JAWS-Users] focus model number

2018-05-09 Thread leonard morris
I am not sure if this is what you are asking about exactly. However,
according to my users guide for my focus 40 blue it states the following
information.

"Pressing the power button while connected to USB causes the focus to
display the model, firmware version, battery status, and the connection
type, USB, in the last three cells."

When I do this my display shows: focus 4.44 batt:100% USB

It seems everytime I type the date 5/5/2018 in Excel 2018 it keeps showing
5/18 and not 5/5/2018. I deleted the text and wrote it again but it won't
input correctly even if I type 05/05/2018 it keeps happening.
Any other date I input appears correctly.
