Thanks-this sounds unsafe. I am not an advanced user so I will seek help in
getting Coreshredder out of my system.

Hello;
Did a quick google search found the following; Is your laptop a HP by any
chance?

http://www.file.net/process/coreshredder.exe.html

Statistics are like a bikini.  What they reveal is suggestive, but
what they conceal is vital.

Hello wealth of knowledge team,

I have noticed an ominous ghost each time I boot up or restart my laptop.
When I press insert-t JAWS reads; "Core Shredder" If I use my JAWS cursor
there is nothing there and when I alt-tab to another place the notice goes
away. I am using a laptop with Windows 7 64bit with an HP machine and JAWS
15. Does anybody have a clue about my invader? Core Shredder sounds so
dangerous and I can't find my ray gun.

Have you explored your system trey for the culprit. Press [Windows
key]+[b] or [Insert]+[f11] and see what's listed.

Review the programs listed in the Programs and Features area too. See
if there something listed in the installed programs list that you
didn't specifically install. Once you know the name of the ghost, you
can research Google for a ghost buster LOL!
