I Do fine some situations where the JAWS cursor doesn't seem to work as expected. I Normally get what I need by flicking in to touch cursor mode with shift+insertpad plus key. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of JM Casey Sent: 24 April 2018 19:30 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] The JAWS cursor in Windows 10, and certain programs Hi everyone. Re: [JAWS-Users] The JAWS cursor in Windows 10, and certain programs
Hi, Freedom Scientific is aware of the increasingly common problems regarding JAWS/Invisible Cursor and other things which use the Off Screen Model (OSM). Because of this, in the JAWS 2018 April update, an option was added to the Miscellaneous group of Settings Center. This option is a checkbox named Use Accessibility Driver. By default it is checked, which means the old behavior is used, but you can try to uncheck it to use a new technology called Accessibility Monitor API. This is not currently on the JAWS help system and by default it uses the classic infrastructure, so I assume this is still an experimental development we should use at our own risk; perhaps someone at Freedom Scientific could confirm this thought.
