[JAWS-Users] short cut

2017-02-06 Thread anna vimini

Hi Teresa,

thanks I will remember this for the next time

I did it a different way all together how it worked I do not know but it
worked I did it this way:

first I unselected everything and then pressed the application key and
when the dialogue came I entered control panel in the edit field where
it says type the location of the item and then entered on okay and on
the next dialogue where it says type the name of the short cut you want
I typed control panel and then entered on finish

and it worked

Re: [JAWS-Users] short cut
Hi Anna,

Go to start with your windows key and enter control panel in your search
dialog. Select control panel app and pres shift F10 to go to your contex
menu.
Press enter on open file location. Once you are there you will have
control panel selected, so open context menu again and press on send to.
There you

must press enter on desktop (create chortcut).

Regards,

Teresa Arroyo Llosa

2017-02-06 Thread anna vimini

Hi Mike,

thanks for this information I was not able to do it this way that you
have listed so I tried it this way and it worked

here is how I did it:

first I unselected everything by control space bar

then I pressed the application key and arrowed down to new and then
pressed enter and then arrow down to shortcut and then pressed enter
then a dialogue came up and I typed control panel where it says type the
location of the shortcut item and then tabbed down to okay and another
dialogue came up type the name of the short cut and I put control panel
in this edit field and then tabbed down to finish and pressed enter and
I was done.

Re: [JAWS-Users] short cut
Hi Anna,

The easy way first. Have you looked in your Recycle Bin to see if it's
there? If it is, highlight / select it, open the context menu, & choose
restore. I don't run Windows 8.1, so I can't be precise on the langueage.
Now, here's a couple of ways I found doing a search:

http://www.isunshare.com/windows-8/add-control-panel-to-desktop-in-windows-8-computer.html

Way 2: Create a shortcut for Control Panel on the desktop.

Click the File Explorer icon on the lower left corner of the desktop,
choose

Desktop in the pop-up window, right-tap Control Panel and choose Create
shortcut.

Way 3: Add Control Panel icon to desktop in Desktop Icon Settings.

Step 1: On the desktop, open Settings panel with Windows+I hotkeys, and
then

select Personalization in the panel.

Step 2: Click Change desktop icons in Personalization window.

Step 3: When the window of Desktop Icon Settings opens, check the small box
before Control Panel and tap OK.

Take care.
Mike

[JAWS-Users] short cut keys vs hot keys

2014-02-09 Thread Judy
It is my understanding that hot keys are already built in to the system, and
short cut keys are those we create. So, Tom, are you asking for the list of
short cuts you created or those that are already in windows? This all can be
confusing. Thanks. Judy Tallie

Re: [JAWS-Users] Short cut key, Office 2007??

2010-04-22 Thread Kimsan
David:
You could use F 7 as suggested by your former friends or you could also turn
on quick keys with jaws key plus z. After doing this, press the letter M to
go to your first spelling error and when you are placed on the error, press
the windows applications key and arrow around for the appropriate correct
word and press enter to make the change.
After doing that go back into quick keys with jaws key z and repeat the same
steps above. F seven is fine, I'm not knocking it, just presenting you with
another option on how to spell check.
