Re: [Jmol-users] Jmol 14.x.4 released
Is the newest Maven artifact still 13.1.15-SNAPSHOT? That’s the most recent I see herehttps://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/net/sourceforge/jmol/jmol/. Would be great to have a newer Maven release; I'd like to make use of the cel shading I added. [Jmol-users] Bug: translucent backbone/wireframe broken
Dear Bob, In Jmol 14.0.4, attempting to make backbone or wireframe translucent makes it invisible. This was not true in Jmol 13. load =1al1 backbone only backbone 0.5 color backbone translucent 1 All levels of translucency are invisible, including -1. For atoms (spacefill) and cartoon, translucency works as in previous versions. However for wireframe, translucency makes it it invisible. PS I have done some simple graphical benchmarks ( https://wiki.ch.ic.ac.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Tablet:tablet#Tested_Devices ), testing the rotation of a simple rendered animated, anti-aliased model. The Java speed is ~37 seconds (deriving from spin 10; which would nominally take 36 seconds), whilst various tablet devices can take up to 350 seconds (2nd gen iPad Mini). If there are any owners of tablets not on the current (small) list that can report back a benchmark, I would be very grateful. signature.asc Description: Message signed with OpenPGP using GPGMail -- Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business.
