I appreciate your tactfulness, I wouldn't be arguing if you did: I was just explaining my choice + mentioning the fact other annotations of same type show different behavior. Having that said, I hope you'll eventually find spare time to improve this (as under intensive use it's not comfortable) I have much respect for you guys, always doing an amazing job, day by day. You're much of an inspiration tbh. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 431689] DNG image preview corruption
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431689 --- Comment #15 from doommaste...@hotmail.com --- Thank you Maik, I've been able to reproduce it. At least a variant. Happens mostly to black and white images. And this could give a clue, I think, because this camera uses dedicated monochrome sensor for this: no color filter on-top. So no normal demosaicing should take place. So I guess, I'm not an expert. I upload a new image I just took and opened with digiKam right away, with the same result. And jpeg as well. Anyway, any idea of what could be done to use them with digiKam again? Perhaps this helps with this kind of hardware. [plasmashell] [Bug 401012] Keyboard Layout icon is barely visible in system tray settings when using a dark theme for Plasma
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401012 --- Comment #15 from Andrey --- IIRC, this is not a problem any more because new applet ships in 5.21, and supposedly it will be default. As stated above, it will always show just abstract static keyboard icon in the systray Settings, regardless what's actually displayed by applet in systray itself (in can be either layout's standard/custom text as configured in Keyboard KCM, or flag icon). That icon is rendered regardless of the text and should always be visible. Old layout SNI will be disabled but still accessible for a while. See Bug 430661. In the future, old SNI will be removed completely. So it's not worth the efforts to fix it any more IMO. Having that, shall we close this bug, or am I understand something wrong still? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[gwenview] [Bug 431368] Unicolored tiles are shown instead of thumbnails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431368 --- Comment #3 from Actron --- I just checked the flatpak of Gwenview 20.12.0. It does indeed solve the issue and even pictures taken with my Canon PowerShot A620 do show as proper thumbnails. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401012 --- Comment #14 from ariasuni --- As you can see, the problem I’m reporting is not with flags but with arbitrary text, filled by default with the language code, that’s used to show which layout is used. I’ve configured two layouts mainly used for French language: fr(oss) (classic French azerty, for other people when they use my computer) and fr(bépo) (that I personally use), and I’m setting the last one’s name to «bé» so I can differentiate the two of them. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 431708] New: Attempting to draw on scratchpad while holding pen buttons prevents further drawing on the scratchpad until restarting Krita
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431708 Bug ID: 431708 Summary: Attempting to draw on scratchpad while holding pen buttons prevents further drawing on the scratchpad until restarting Krita Product: krita Version: 4.4.1 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tomtomtomreportin...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY At least with my stock Intuos pen, dragging the pen on the scratchpad while also attempting to utilize canvas inputs by holding any of the pen buttons will break further drawing functionality of the scratchpad, until Krita is restarted. For example: if you hold the pan canvas pen button and attempt to pan the scratchpad, further drawing on the scratchpad is prevented. It also happens if you hold the pop-up palette pen button while dragging the pen on the scratchpad. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Brush Settings. 2. Hold a pen button. 3. While holding a pen button, drag pen across the scratchpad. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens and the scratchpad is no longer usable until Krita is restarted. EXPECTED RESULT It is understandable if the canvas inputs wouldn't work with the scratchpad (as I understand, it's basically a different sort of canvas), but at the very least, attempting to use them with the pen shouldn't break the scratchpad. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian sid (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.77.0 Qt Version: 5.12.9 (Appimage) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION No errors will be outputted to the terminal. The scratchpad fill buttons will still work. This issue seems isolated to the pen buttons, as utilizing the corresponding canvas inputs with a mouse/keyboard won't break the scratchpad. The scratchpad will also still work if you hold a pen button and click with the mouse. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[gwenview] [Bug 431402] Make it possible to scale down/zoom out images further than the window width/height
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431402 --- Comment #21 from mao --- Are you serious? You are proposing that carefully moving cursor to a tiny button (which must be tiny, otherwise it covers up the fullscreen image) and making extra click is an improvement over simply scroll-zooming back until hitting the "end". You know, there is a reason websites stop scrolling at the bottom. Even if you want to move the last line to the top of the screen you cannot do it. Restricting movement improves user friendliness, not reduces it. Think about zoom slider too. Compare libre office to Gwenview zoom slider, you will see the difference easily with a touchpad. If you are absolutely 100% sure zooming out too much is a must-have feature and under no circumstance it can be done by changing the window size or the sidebar size, do it like so: 1. option to toggle default behavior in settings 2. key modifier for temporary toggle behavior Big caveat: huge maintenance cost, user interface overload, complexity. But again, make user study first to ensure this is needed at all. Actual users, not bugzilla nerd users. Since you said you are a software design expert, you should know how to conduct and design user study properly (not some fake opinion poll). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[dolphin] [Bug 431666] Provide list view column and properties for change time (ctime)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431666 --- Comment #8 from Jenny --- (In reply to Elvis Angelaccio from comment #7) > If you know what the ctime is you problably also know how to read it from a > terminal. IMHO exposing it in the dolphin UI would result in added > complexity for 99% of regular users without actual benefits. I understand your reasoning, but whether there are benefits for the user or not is only secondary and individual. A stat command in the terminal for every file and folder is time consuming and not practical. I use KDE Plasma because it has a different philosophy than the other desktop environments. It's configurable in many ways, scores with detail elements and still remains elegant in design. An example with the detail elements is "Katie" the female mascot for KDE. :) That was also the idea why I opened the report for Dolphin because of detail element. Additionally Dolphin would be the first Linux file manager (GUI) that supports all timestamps like the stat command. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
