Incapsula support have asked if you can please provide:

1) MTR / Traceroute runs to cdn.kde.org
2) MTR / Traceroute runs to www.incapsula.com

If you have any other information regarding how you discovered this was due to
Government interference that would also be appreciated.

*Sigh*. Governments really are idiots when it comes to the internet. I've
informed Incapsula of the issue - hopefully their legal department can sort it
out with the Latvian government.

As a workaround for yourself, stick in /etc/hosts 5.9.99.188 as the IP address
for cdn.kde.org. This is the backend server address which Incapsula fronts.

Out of curiosity, is forum.kde.org, dot.kde.org, userbase.kde.org all
accessible?

likely due to either a broken network or system configuration on your end.

2016-09-21 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369148

We have systems which run on multiple servers, while Lets Encrypt relies on
being able to fetch a value from your server over HTTP. Therefore only one
machine will get the request and the certificate.

Additionally, we have non-HTTP based servers which need SSL, and the way our
DNS system is setup doesn't allow automated changes to it (for security reasons
among others).

Plus we have dozens and dozens of subdomains across just kde.org, which is why
we rely on wildcard certificates.

Finally filtered down to both Manjaro and Opensuse, and working very well.
(I use baloo search to manage a large software code base, and it was sorely
missed when it stopped indexing source code due to the txt issue.)

Thanks for your fine work.

For those arriving here after searching for this problem I have one minor thing
to add: The indexing of previously excluded text files with an extension of
other than "txt" did not take place automatically.

I had to do: "balooctl disable" followed by "balooctl enable" and now they are
all indexed.

Thanks again.

[dolphin] [Bug 339389] New: Using Drag and drop with ALT+Tab only works on some applications. Why: ALT key behavior in dolphin.

2016-05-31 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339389

Bug ID: 339389
Summary: Using Drag and drop with ALT+Tab only works on some
applications. Why: ALT key behavior in dolphin.
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 4.14.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
   URL: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=42
494
OS: Linux
Status: RESOLVED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: panels: folders
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: marco_silv...@sapo.pt
Status: RESOLVED
Resolution: INVALID

When dragging a file, if you ALT+Tab to the target aplication then drop the
file, it will not work (in many applications).
This happens because while dragging, dolphin identifies the ALT key as a
modifier for creating a link to the file (instead of the normal behavior). You
can see the cursor icon changing when you press ALT while dragging. The cursor
icon goes back to normal when you release ALT.
However, if you do ALT+TAB instead (and don't release the file yet), when you
release ALT, the cursor doesn't go back to the normal behavior - you can try to
press ALT more times, it won't do a thing.

Fix: Either really fix this issue (ALT release out-of-dolphin behaving
correctly) or, if technically not possible (because of X11 for example), add an
option to modify the keyboard shortcut from ALT to another one (or remove).
This bug was already experienced by some users:
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=42494
they thought it was a problem of the application which you are dropping the
file.
Comment #16 identifies correctly the issue with dolphin and explains the above.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Drag a file
2. ALT+TAB
3. Release the file inside chromium / ark archive / sublime / other affected
applications (Firefox is not affected for example)

Actual Results:
Application is unable to open the dragged file.

Expected Results:
Application able to open the dragged file.

Hello,

When I draw curves quickly, I can experience artefacts: most of the time, the
start of the curve (and sometimes, parts of the curve) are drawn as a straight
line.
On the picture provided, the black lines are make with Krita, while the red
arrow are made on Paint to indicate the artefacts.

This does not occur in other softwares I used. I also install Wintab drivers.
Note that the tracking of the pen seems to have difficulty to track
hand-writing on krita (no screenshot) and I think it is the same issue
underlying.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Straight lines instead of curved lines

Expected Results:
Curved lines

If kdelibs-4.14.19 is built with GCC-5 (in my case gcc-5.3.0) it seems amarok
has no problem building with GCC-5 either. But any other combination of GCC-5
and GCC-6 causes build failure.

Please note that for all builds of kdelibs-4.14.19, the following patches were
applied from

Which is hardly surprising, you should use the same compiler for Amarok and its
dependencies. Not sure this is really an amarok bug, more like a dependencies
mismatch.

Thanks for your fast reply!
But afraid not, I have added a url to a ppt with some photo's in (i use a
deliberately bad calibration to show the error). since then i have also checked
inkscape which acts the same as corel painter, so is fine.

so now i have two that work and two that don't and since krita and gimp have
almost exactly the same error wondering how you get the pen data?

We're just using the wintab api as described on the wacom website. N-trig pens
generally are pretty well calibrated, and this bug also doesn't sound like it's
caused by display scaling. But I still cannot reproduce the issue on my SP3,
not with 2.9, not with the 3.0 RC. Another Krita developer has an SP4 and also
doesn't have problems. Could you check with the latest RC?

https://krita.org/item/krita-3-0-release-candidate-1-released/

We did rewrite a lot of tablet code especially because the developer with the
SP4 wanted a better experience...

Thanks again for your reply, i've spent a few hours today trying to find some
more info. i found a few posts of people who have very similar problems, with
little or no responce, although one post on your forum said that the new
software fixed the issue - (https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=139=128523)
i have aso installed photo shot like was sugested, works fin in photoshop but
still not in here.

unfortunatly this isnt't the case for me, i dled the software you linked to and
still the same issue, and as gimp has an identicle i'm wondering if it's a
wintab issue. so happy for you to mark it as fixed.

but if you have time could i ask how you calibrate your surface pen (default
windows, special software or do you just use it in it's defualt calibration)?
Also i noticed if i uninstall wintab it fixes this issue and i ink at the
calibrated point, but i lose pressure sensitivity (to be expected) and then
when re-install and the loss of calibration comes back in cirtain programs, so
am also wondering if it's a problem with my wintab instalation, so what verson
are you running - i downloaded the latest one fresh from microsoft
wintab_x64_1.0.0.20
(https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49498).

[kidentitymanagement] [Bug 363728] New: Account Recovery requires user to remember user account name.

2016-05-31 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363728

Bug ID: 363728
Summary: Account Recovery requires user to remember user
account name.
   Product: kidentitymanagement
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
   URL: https://identity.kde.org/index.php?r=site/passwordRese
t
OS: other
Status: RESOLVED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: rabc...@hotmail.com
CC: bcooks...@kde.org
Resolution: DUPLICATE
CC: bcooks...@kde.org
Status: RESOLVED

Summary pretty much says it all, on kde.identity users are far, far, far more
likely to forget their username than their password since you have a completely
broken username registration system as well (e.g. you do not allow the users to
pick their own username, you automatically generate their usernames)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Forget your username
2. Try to recover account
3. Cry

Actual Results:
Lots of crying

Expected Results:
Successful account recovery

[plasmashell] [Bug 363345] New: plasmashell fails to start when using kernel 4.5 and higher. It works fine on kernel 4.4.

2016-05-31 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 363345
Summary: plasmashell fails to start when using kernel 4.5 and
higher. It works fine on kernel 4.4.

   Version: 5.6.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages

  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk

Status: RESOLVED
Resolution: INVALID

Messages appear while on kernel 4.5 when on command line:

systemd[1]: Journal service failed to start appear and kworker process is
blocked.

INFO: task kworker/u8:0:6 blocked for more than 120 seconds Tainted: G 0
4.5.2-1-ARCH #1 "echo bla bla bla" disables this message.

Sometimes it also I get this output as I am about to decrypt my home folder and
log in:
[18.783662] ata2.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 Serr 0x0 action 0x6 frozen

I never get these errors when I am in kernel 4.4.5-1

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade from linux 4.4.5-1 to 4.5.2-1 in KDE Plasma 5.6.4
2. Restart machine
3. Boot normally
4. Blank screen (sometimes I can see my desktop wallpaper but rarely and
nothing else)
5. Restart machine
6. Boot in level 3 so you have command line instead of gui and these messages
appear sporadically from time to time.

Actual Results:
Blank screen and when on command line only the messages described in the
details appear.

Expected Results:
It should have shown the shell normally without the messages and everything
should have worked fine just like in kernel 4.4.5

The laptop runs hot as if trying to complete a heavy task. I think its caused
by the kworker not being able to run.

I am on a Surface Pro 4, i5, 8gb of RAM.

I just tried on Krita 3.0 RC1 (I just decompressed the zip file). The problem
of straight line artefacts is worse :/ as in really worse.
That may come from the fact that Krita 3.0 RC1 is kind of a portable version
(it works without installation). I don't know.

If I change the View Mode from gvpart to khtmlimage, the correct version is

[dolphin] [Bug 339388] New: Using Drag and drop with ALT+Tab only works on some applications. Why: ALT key behavior in dolphin.

2016-05-31 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339388

Bug ID: 339388
Summary: Using Drag and drop with ALT+Tab only works on some
applications. Why: ALT key behavior in dolphin.
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 4.14.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
   URL: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=42

OS: Linux
Status: RESOLVED

  Priority: NOR
 Component: panels: folders
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: marco_silv...@sapo.pt
CC: arjunak...@gmail.com
CC: arjunak...@gmail.com
Resolution: DUPLICATE

On a page with a dropdown, clicking the dropdown accomplishes nothing more than
highlight the dropdown element briefly. The list of items in the dropdown never
appears. Using arrow keys to attempt to interact with the element also fails;
the element clearly has focus, as hitting arrow keys doesn't even scroll the

[kdenlive] [Bug 361163] New: Newly implemented opacity control of blend modes produces chroma aberrations

2016-05-31 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361163

Bug ID: 361163
Summary: Newly implemented opacity control of blend modes
produces chroma aberrations
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
   URL: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=270=116876#p35
4253
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Effects & Transitions
  Assignee: vpi...@kde.org
  Reporter: bryanwors...@hotmail.com

With reference to an earlier feature request to add opacity control for the
exisiting transition blend modes https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358052

The requested feature was implemented and made available in KDenLive 16.07.70
from the developmental branch ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-master

On testing the feature however it has been observed that a number of the blend
modes are producing abnormal results with chroma aberrations

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Test system - KdenLive 16.07.70 on Kubuntu 15.10
2. Test video clip - a 1080/29.97p.mts clip from a Canon HF-G10 AVCHD camcorder
transcoded to Matroska.mkv (HuffYUV). Project profile set accordingly.
3. Loaded the clip on the timeline and aligned to the track (Video 1) head.
4. Duplicated and co-aligned the clip on track Video 2
5. Applied Cairo Blend transition between the two tracks, spanning the full
length of the clip.
6. Selected the desired blend mode and adjusted the opacity using the slider.
7. Observed the result at the set opacity and took a screen shot of the frame
off the Project Monitor view.
8. Compared the results with those obtained with scripted AVISynth function
that applies the same blend mode operations.

Actual Results:
The results are demonstrated in full in this post on the KDenLive forum:
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=270=116876#p354253

In summary: The Overlay, Hardlight, Softlight, Screen and Color Dodge blend
modes produced a similar pattern of chroma aberrations which appeared when the
opacity was set to 50% or more and increased in severity up to 100% opacity.
With the Add blend mode these aberrations progressively increased in severity
over the entire 0 - 100% opacity range.

Expected Results:
It was expected that the blend mode operations would produce the intended
effect, without these chroma aberrations.

This is fixed in Kate >= 16.04, see:
https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kate.git=commit=0326973a38ea7f96f85430b489480de00f401141

Maybe we can backport to 15.12 branch.

Then again, this looks like Kate from KDE 4, see version 3.14.3...
Maybe we should even backport to 4.x...

Given that was wrong since ever and the number of crashs we got with this is
close to 0, I would just keep it like is in the old versions and be happy with
master fixed.

[dolphin] [Bug 339421] New: Using Drag and drop with ALT+Tab only works on some applications. Why: ALT key behavior in dolphin.

2016-05-31 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339421

Bug ID: 339421
Summary: Using Drag and drop with ALT+Tab only works on some
applications. Why: ALT key behavior in dolphin.
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 4.14.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
   URL: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=42
494
OS: Linux
Status: RESOLVED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: panels: folders
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: marco_silv...@sapo.pt
Resolution: INVALID
Status: RESOLVED

[konsole] [Bug 339259] New: Cursor movement in Telugu language

2016-05-31 Thread Ben Cooksley via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339259

Bug ID: 339259
Summary: Cursor movement in Telugu language
   Product: konsole
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
   URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7wJoVW4d2o=yo
utu.be
OS: Linux
Status: RESOLVED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: font
  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: venkatram.akkin...@gmail.com
Status: RESOLVED
Resolution: DUPLICATE
Resolution: INVALID

Cursor does not move well between characters in Telugu Language in Konsole. I
have tried various fonts, Ubuntu Mono, Nandini, Free Sans, Lohit Telugu.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Konsole
2. Paste the following text "ఆంధ్ర భారతి తెలుగు, సంస్కృతం నిఘంటువు"
3. Now move the cursor to the left end one character at a time.

Actual Results:
The cursor moves between every UTF-8 character including the conjuncts.

Expected Results:
Most applications that support Telugu language only allow cursor traversal
between full consonants and vowels. They jump over the conjuncts. But backspace
counts conjuncts. The video attached to the bug shows the issue.

This was created by mistake because bugs.kde.org was throwing a 500.
