[kmail2] [Bug 334925] New: [feature request] Archive Mails by moving them to a computed folder in the same mail account

2014-05-17 Thread Andreas T
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334925

Bug ID: 334925
Summary: [feature request] Archive Mails by moving them to a
computed folder in the same mail account
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.11.5
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: a.tetz...@gmx.de

Thunderbird has one feature that I would really like to see in Kmail, as it
really saves time organizing and finding emails:
Instead of deleting or saving mails to disk, Thunderbird offers the possibility
to archive mails with a simple keystroke. When in an arbitrary folder of a
mail account , archiving one or multiple mails will move the mails to a special
folder in the same mail account. The name/path of the special folder is
computed, in case of Thunderbird it is Archives/${YEAR} while ${YEAR} is the
year of the arrival/sending date of the mail. If the folder Archives/${YEAR}
does not exist yet, it is created automatically. Using the archiving
functionality on multiple mails should compute the destination folder
separately for every mail. When working with multiple mail accounts, the mail
must be moved to the archive folder of the mail account, that it is stored in,
when invoking the archive function. In Kmail, this function should be reachable
by a shortcut or a button in the toolbar.

The feature like described above would be great. To make it more comfortable, I
would suggest to add two options in the mail-account settings dialog:
1. choose the base-folder for archiving
2. choose the algorithm for computing the sub-folder in the base-folder, for
example:
- ${BASE-FOLDER}/${YEAR}
- ${BASE-FOLDER}/${YEAR}/${MONTH}
- ${BASE-FOLDER}/${SENDER-ADDRESS}

Optionally: Setting a folder as the archive base-folder causes kmail to change
the folder's icon, e.g. the icon used for ZIP-files.

Reproducible: Always

[Akonadi] [Bug 334929] New: imap resource has a pending task and crashes repetitively

2014-05-17 Thread Feth Arezki
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334929

Bug ID: 334929
Summary: imap resource has a pending task and crashes
repetitively
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.12
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
  Assignee: chrig...@fastmail.fm
  Reporter: f...@tuttu.info
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org, vkra...@kde.org

Application: akonadi_imap_resource (4.12)
KDE Platform Version: 4.12.4
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 3.14-1-amd64 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux unstable (sid)

-- Information about the crash:
I once asked for a few mails to be moved from an imap inbox to a subfolder
(spams).
Now the imap resource always crashes and relaunches. Even after restarting my
computer.
In akonadiconsole, it shows that the resource is busy (0%) moving the mails.
Canceling the move/going offline does not help. Even shutting down the network
+ restarting akonadi doesn't (it just triggers another drkonqui for that imap
resource).

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[Akonadi] [Bug 293432] automatic filtering on checking mails does not work

2014-05-17 Thread Barade
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293432

--- Comment #13 from Barade barade.bar...@web.de ---
Are you sure that all header fields are fetched when selecting multiple
messages in the inbox? It might be the case now (I am not sure) that newly
received messages are filtered correctly but whenever I select ALL messages in
the Inbox and press Ctrl+J only some of them are moved into the correct
folders then KMail stops at some point. I use kmail 4.12.5 now. The same for
kdepimlibs and akonadi-server 1.11.0. Which packages do I have to upgrade?

Yes I am sorry to confirm still valid. Normal calendar dates are shown without
problem, but no birthdays.
KDE and Kontact 4.13.1 respectively.

BTW this is OT but since baloo introduction, when indexing my main account (not
the postal one but another) that has about 320 gigs - some 4 giga files etc) my
X201 shuts down due to overheat. (Only one process running of baloo
(baloo-file) with 25% of power consumption on one core). If this is expected,
no problem I deactivated for that account indexing, but if I switch it on, the
machine (a Core-i5 Intel) is perfectly usable. Only it heats up to shutdown).
If this is not expected with these specs, please tell me and I will rise a bug
report.

[Akonadi] [Bug 331991] GnuPG signatures broken by Pipe Through filter action

2014-05-17 Thread xor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331991

Given that we live in the age of the NSA scandal, I would be really glad if you
could fix this soon.

As developers, I think we can all agree tahat the whole open source world
relies upon GPG for mail signatures, and it is really annoying to get lots of
broken signatures on development mailing lists. I ought to NOT trust mails of
other developers with broken signatures - how am I supposed to work like that?

[kmail2] [Bug 334956] New: Moved messages appear again in the incoming mail list (POP3)

2014-05-17 Thread Giuseppe Vinci
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334956

Bug ID: 334956
Summary: Moved messages appear again in the incoming mail list
(POP3)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.13
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: giuseppe.vi...@gmx.net

If you move a received message from incoming list to a Local sub-folder, after
a while it appears again in the incoming mail list. This can also happen
several times for the same message.
Version KDE 4.13.1 - with baloo instead nepomuk (KDE-Current)

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Move a message, that you got today or yesterday, from the incoming list to a
sub-directory of the Local folder
2. Wait a couple of minutes, then you will get the notification, you get a new
message. But it is wrong: that is the message, you have moved before.
3. A check on the related sub-directory and on the incoming mail list, will
confirms, now you are the same message twice.
Actual Results:
If you get a lot of messages, you cannot know anymore, which messages you have
already archived in the local sub-folders and this create a lot of needles
work.

Expected Results:
The moved message should not loaded again in the incoming mail list.

--- Comment #2 from Francois Prunier francoisprun...@hotmail.com ---
Thanks for the feedback Laurent.

Do you happen to know which qt version fixes it ?

Also I'm afraid users might not know that, think it's kmail fault and ditch it
for a wrong reason. Is there no workaround available while this gets resolved
in qt ?
