RE: [LegacyUG] LUG ARCHIVES

2008-05-28 Thread Steve Ayres

Ron, I just gave Dick's URL a try and got the same response 403 Forbidden and
I'm using a Windows PC running XP. Could be just the site itself being off
line temporary as I have had the same msg from other sites in the past yet when
I try a bit later it works.

Re: [LegacyUG] LUG ARCHIVES

2008-05-28 Thread Robert57P via Gmail
If the archives are working for some and not others, then I'd suggest you
might try purging your browser cache. Best way for Internet Explorer - shut
IE down, right click on the link on the desktop, select PROPERTIES, then
under BROWSING HISTORY, select DELETE, then pick your item(s) to delete (I
usually do a DELETE ALL, but that can also get rid of SOME useful cookies -
your choice). Yes, you can do this cleanup with IE up and running, but . .
. And once your cache is purged, empty your trash can too (er - I guess it
is called recycle bin now). Then restart IE.

You MIGHT also want to try deleting your Windows TEMP folder, but this
SHOULD NOT impact the browser - usually! There are tools for this, but I
don't recall them. I usually delete them manually, but that's risky if you
don't know what you are doing, so I'm not gonna go into details on that
process. (On a side note - having a bunch of junk in your Windows TEMP
folder can cause your PC to run slow or even weird. Wish I could remember
the preferred tool for purging it, but my mind is blank at the moment -
sorry)

We received an email message from the webmaster at Mail Archive:

a little extra time to get things up and running again.

Sometimes we just have to be patient. Things will work out OK.

Is there a reason why the archives URL ...
http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ ... keeps
coming up with this message?

Ron, I just gave Dick's URL a try and got the same response 403

in the past yet when I try a bit later it works.

Behind all creation is silence. Silence is the essential condition, the
vital ingredient for all that is created. It is a power in its own right.
The artist starts with a blank canvas - silence. The composer places it
between and behind the notes. The very ground of your being, out of which
comes all your thoughts, is silence. The way to silence is through
meditation. When you arrive in your own silence you will know true freedom
and real power. Take a minute and listen to the silence within you. Be aware
of what disturbs it. It could be anxiety, anger, worry, bad memories, etc.
When you are aware, you will know what is draining your creative power, and
you will know what needs to change...on the inside...
