RE: [LegacyUG] New FamilySearch

If you add your family via gedcom you can include sources and notes.
I use this process whenever I find a family missing in its entirety from nFS.

Nope. Not until FamilySearch gives Legacy the ability via an (API) application
programming interface to do so. As far as I know, there is no time frame. It is
in the tracking system.

No worries though, none of the genealogy programs do so :)

The Location List will print in the order that the Master Location
List is sorted in.

The Location Report prints in order by city, county, state, country.

You can access the Location List through the Master Location List -
click on Options Print, where you'll find both reports.

Only the Location Report shows in the Books/Other tab of the Select a
Report window.

I hope Millennia doesn't tell me to be quite, but that is my point.  Facebook
is not telling you that, JANE DOE is! Jane Doe is the source, not Facebook!

I.e., I am against crediting Facebook because of this example:

Laura Smith sees Uncle Joe's wife's Jane's birthday on Facebook.  She copies
Jane's birthday into Legacy, and sources Facebook. Ten years later, Laura's son
discover the birthday is wrong by six years.

RE: [LegacyUG] Locations list

2011-11-28 Thread Mark Lang
Not that I'm aware of. The closest I could get to your wish is

Reports All Reports Location Report

On the Include tab, use
All Locations
Master Location Summary counts (this option minimises data in the
report)
On the Options tab, use
Check first two options - Long and Short location name
Sort order - standard left to right

Then either Preview or Print.

I found no way to include prepositions.

Kind Regards
Mark Lang

Is there a report which will simply list all locations, their short
 names and prepositions? Something like.

Alphabetically first locationShort version of thisin
Alphabetically second location Second short nameat

 and so on?

Jennifer,

We're only authorized to sell the Flip-Pal to U.S. and Canada, but the rest of
the offers are applicable to everyone - including the free shipping on orders
of $75 or more.

This Legacy offer is only valid for people in the US or Canada.

For Australians who may want one, I have found a supplier in Oz who sells them.
Email me off list if you would like the details. (no - I am not the supplier)

Regards,

Jennifer

The ad is for *software* anyway. g

I've seen the Flip Pal in action - it's pretty cool and on my Christmas list.
Great if you're going to scan pictures in albums or large items such as
newspaper articles. It does a great job of stitching the multiple scans
together.

Sincerely,
Sherry

I had hoped you were right. I wanted one of those Flip Pal's dropped on me

 will do the trick.
