Your data is saved when you click Save on the edit window that you're in.

If you're referring to backing up the Family File, the reminder only
pops up when you have made changes to the data in the Family File.

If you have somehow turned off the pop-up reminder, go to Options
Customize . Other  and click on the 'Turn On or Off Optional Reminder

Michael,

Please check again. Go to the Legacy Home Tab on the left of the tool bar, and
the Options button is on the to right, clicking that gives options as one
choice amongst others, and clicking that option should give you choices as to
when Legacy can open the internet.

I have gone into this detail because if the choices are not there you will need

However, here are a couple of general points:

You must have Internet Explorer installed, even if it is not your default

Under the Legacy Home Tab in Legacy, Click OptionsOptionsInternet Options

I trust that you are using a PC or Laptop which has the full WIN8 as some

[LegacyUG] How to set all sources to print on a report?

2013-04-20 Thread Nancy Stevens
I think I have seen this question recently but cannot find it in the

not to print. I want to print a family group report with all source
citations printing (regardless of how I have them set). I looked in the
report options for the family group report thinking this was an option but
did not find this option. So I exported the subset of individuals to a

[LegacyUG] synchronise databases

2013-04-20 Thread Mark scious_outlook . com sciou
With ver 7 is there some way I can do true synchronisation of the legacy
database without using intellishare or something like dropbox?
I am NOT looking for a solution such as dropbox or drive which simply copies
the entire database from one place to another.
I know there is Intellishare but this seems very outdated. To, in my case,
have to merge two databases back to a master and then copy the updated master
back to the other two computers (manually) seems ridiculous.
Surely there is some genealogy program that does real synchronisation.
For me, this one feature far outways many other fancy features that I never use.
If Legacy does not support synchronisation, is there any other program that
does?

[LegacyUG] Blank Legacy Home Tab - no headings or data

2013-04-20 Thread John Seely
I have been unable to see any of the items in the Legacy Home tab -- I
contact Tech Support and tried many suggestions, i.e., reload program,
check network option settings, etc but nothing worked and they didn't
have any other ideas. I'm using W7 Ultimate on the desktop (have W7
Home Premium on laptop) - both computers have IE 10. Compared Internet
Option settings on both units and they appear the same. My laptop
program is working ok.

On the desktop I can connect to the internet from any of the usual icons
at the top of the program (ancestry, etc), but have noticed that when I
open the Options box and click on Check the Internet Now... nothing
happens. Settings under Options in this box are correct and the same as
on the laptop.

Any suggestions or ideas out there would be appreciated.

Both systems have the latest version 7.5.0.219

Thanks

John
