You're getting emails from me and others because you're subscribed to the

If you want them to stop, you need to follow the instructions at the bottom

Brian - I'm with you in that the DMARC policies are new (and confusing ) to
me. But can you state if the following boiler plate language is being added
by your list server or somewhere else during the hops:

For most ISPs the list software can simply modify the message header and
resend the mail to subscribers.

Some ISPs like Yahoo.com have decided to impose DMARC policies (no I do not
know what they are so please do not ask). The impact of those on mailing
lists means that mail to mailing lists from subscribers using yahoo.com
cannot be modified when re-transmitted as a mail message from the list. Our
software does that by making the original message from those subscribers an
attachment to a message from the list.

As we explain in the text of the messages (which we added so you do not get
an empty message with just an attachment) it is the subscriber from ISPs
with this DMARC policy who has to change providers to avoid having their
messages converted to attachments. We even give suggestions on who they can
use but we do not force them to change.

2016-03-14 Thread CE WOOD
If the content of the attachment can be re-transmitted on the list, great.
Otherwise, those of us who care, will never see those messages. I think that it
needs to be made clear to those who will not change their provider that their
messages will never be read by the wise. It is dogma that one never open an
attachment. Many phony ones have been posted on your list. A clever hacker will
also include your explanation.
