Hi,

No I can achieve that just by making the last field date at death. I'm
wanting to display their current age if still alive.

Cheers

Ian,

In Family View, say you have the default Death Cause as a core event, click on
it, choose Customise, and then you can select what field you want to display
from a drop down list activated by clicking on the button next to the Death
Cause.

Is that what you wanted?

Jennifer

Hi,

I seem to recall reading (some time ago) that there is a way to show a person’s
current age in family view and I “think” age at death if not living.
I’ve searched the help file without success. Am I correct or has this old brain
let me down again?

Cheers

The only place a person's age is shown, whether still living or not,
is on the individual's screen as far as I know.

If the person has died, it gives their age at death but their overall
age still keeps increasing year on year.

If I understand correctly (and that's not guaranteed since I am very
tired right now), you would like to have a field in the family view
for the person's age or to have it appear beside the person's name or
data as it does in the individual screen?

2012-07-08 Thread Mark Lang
Ian,

If you customise the Family View to include Age at Death as you indicate, will
show the age of the individual at their death. If there is no age, they are
still alive, in which case you will need to activate the Individual Information
dialog and look to the far right of the Birth date and Place to see the age of
the living individual. Simply click any of the 5 labels to customise the Family
View data, click the ellipses button next to a field you wish to use then
select Age at Death option. Click [Select], then [Close].

Kind Regards
Mark Lang
