[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93045] FILESAVE: custom styles lost on saving to XLSX (Summary in Comment 6)

[Libreoffice-commits] core.git: Branch 'feature/fixes7' - vcl/win
vcl/win/source/gdi/winlayout.cxx | 55 +++ 1 file changed, 45 insertions(+), 10 deletions(-) New commits: commit fe4208066fff7d74059e5eec18aea6dc594b0c14 Author: Tor Lillqvist t...@collabora.com Date: Wed Aug 19 15:44:30 2015 +0300 Still more hacking on OpenGL glyph caching for Windows Show the whole height of the cache bitmap after all (when SAL_LOG contains vcl.gdi.opengl). The interesting pieces are often at the bottom, like the tip of the hook of the j glyphs that used to bleed over into the preceding glyphs, usually i, when they were rendered into the same chunk. Add more space between glyphs and at top and bottom of the bitmap, for anti-aliasing. The glyph ABC widths don't take expansions caused by anti-aliasing into consideration and are misleading. Hopefully anti-aliasing can expand the (partially) painted pixels of a glyph just one column/row in each direction, but for safety use a two-pixel border. (Defensive programming, eek?) Some getWidth() instead of GetWidth() etc craziness. Using tools/gen.hxx types truly is programming-by-coincidence as Thorsten says. In a dbgutil build, setting the environment variable VCL_GLYPH_CACHING_HACK_NO_ANTIALIAS causes the code to turn off anti-aliasing for the fonts used. I used this to verify that it indeed was anti-aliasing that made the ABC widths inconsistent with reality. Not sure if it makes sense to keep this code in? Anyway, now I don't see any leaked pixels in i glyphs any more, touch wood. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93528] FILESAVE Saving as XLS loses style hierarchy
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93528 --- Comment #3 from Matthew Francis fdb...@neosheffield.co.uk --- The behaviour for XLSX doesn't seem to change across the commit in question, but then we never seem to have managed to retain the style hierarchy in XSLX since that became a (visible?) feature circa 4.2.0 - for this file at least, I haven't checked others. As to what's going on specifically with the styles I'm afraid I can't tell. As one specific example, before the commit in question, the cell style Nr0 is a custom style which inherits from the style Nr, and this survives being saved as .xls and reloaded. After the commit, Nr0 shows as inheriting from Default after saving and reloading from .xls I couldn't see the connection either, so I scrubbed back and forth across the commit a few times to make sure, and also tried with a fresh user profile just in case there was anything funny there - if you'd like to reproduce simply, the commit and its immediate predecessor are both covered by the 44max bibisect repo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Kills 90k rtl_ustring_compare_withLength calls on startup, around 0.9% of headless start. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93528 --- Comment #2 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@collabora.com --- Wow - that is interesting =) its a very far removed piece of code from style export: sc/source/filter/xestyle.cxx concerning that (somehow) the sort order of config keys affects the export of styles to binary Excel. A few questions: * does it impact XLSX too (if so easier to compare before after and home in on the code more quickly perhaps - it's shared code so I would expect so. * what of this data comes from the configuration ? https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93532 Bug ID: 93532 Summary: Image / CRC32 not enough ... Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1 Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: graphics stack Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: michael.me...@collabora.com CRC32 is a great hash to check for large-scale data-corruption, but not to ensure uniqueness - and LibreOffice builds a fair bit of its image comparison foo on the idea that it is unique. A crc32 hash is prone to collisions (due to its small size, any 32-bit hash couldn't be better): it has 1/2 odds to loose an image for ~77000 comparisons: http://preshing.com/20110504/hash-collision-probabilities (so, quite a real number of real documents are expected to suffer). We should use CRC64, or better - though the exact algorithm is fairly immaterial - but having more precision would help, while keeping this a single integer type rather than a more complex wrapper task. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93444] Calc crashes (64bit only?) copying formula cells
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93444 --- Comment #6 from Leopoldo Saggin leopoldo.sag...@libero.it --- I re-tested file attached in comment #1 on a Win7 64pro environment using the same version of LibO 64bit, ie 5.0.1.1rc I also tried to repeat the exact procedure I did in W10, including the installation of a Java 64 after the installation of LibO 64 to repeat the error I did during the W10 test. I can confirm m.a.riosv results, ie in Win7 I had no problems even if I had a little delay during the copy of the formula to restore data and the throttle appeared for a couple of seconds. To perform this test I used an HP desktop 8200 elite with an i5 CPU and 4 GB of RAM, while when I tested on W10 I used an Asus U30SD notebook with an i3 and 8GB of RAM. So it could be I have interrupted the test before the delay was finished in W10 (even if I waited for about a minute before stopping it) or it could be a problem OS version dependent. Please note I'm quite expert (I'm a sysadmin) and the two computers were I peformed the test were both in very good conditions (no spyware, no bloatware, etc...) Wheter this is a bug or not, IMHO the time LibO 5 takes to copy so simple formulas is too long. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93513] SIDEBAR: content panel buttons slide out of view when deck is resized, need some indicator of hidden buttons or perhaps option to wrap buttons
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93513 V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|SIDEBAR: toolbar buttons in |SIDEBAR: content panel |sidebar body hide behind|buttons slide out of view |sidebar navigation section |when deck is resized, need ||some indicator of hidden ||buttons or perhaps option ||to wrap buttons Severity|normal |enhancement --- Comment #8 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Had to read this several times before I realized what your valid concern was. If you resize the Sidebar Deck, shrinking it, various buttons on the content panels slide out of view. And, there is no visual indicator that the button widgets are hidden. Most noticeable on the Navigator panels. Optionally, for some content panels, it might be preferred to allow the button widgets to shift attachment (or rescale) to fit available width of a resized deck.
