[linux-dvb] Specification for creating a driver for the (Cinergy) CI usb, driver needed
Dear all, I searched the whole week for drivers for my Cinergy Ci USB. The Terratec support centre is not so good, they say the cinergy ci usb works on mac osx with elgato eyet3 which is not true. I have had contact with elgato and they don't know if they will ever support it. There aren't any linux drivers for the cinergy ci usb. So frustrated as I was I openend the Cinergy Ci usb and saw that the manufacturer is SmarDTV. www.smardtv.com. They are providing the specification for their hardware but they do not have any drivers on their site. I don't understand a thing of the specifications so unfortunately I can't program a driver myself. Their hardware is used in a lot of devices and is used by millions of people. I think it is a challenge to create a driver which supports a lot of other devices. Maybe someone of the linuxtv.org http://linxtv.org has the time and energy to take a look at it. You can get the specification if you fill in your email address here: http://www.smardtv.com/index.php?page=dvbcirubrique=specification, I have added the specification in the previous mail (which is a copy of this one) but it was filtered out because it's almost 2 MB. So here again a mail without the attachement. There is a chip in it of ACTEL http://www.actel.com/ ProASIC plus. Source code examples are on their site. If I can do anything else please let me know. Hopefully someone can help! Regards, Derk ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
Re: [linux-dvb] illegal bandwith value, driver for Terratec Cinergy DT usb XS
Hi Tero, I also have a Terratec Cinergy DT XS diversity but can't get it working with the Cinergy CI usb, do you have any idea how I can make it work? By the way, they showed on CEBIT a EeePC with linux on it with the Cinergy XSS. They also said that they will release linux drivers for all of their tv tuners. Re: [linux-dvb] illegal bandwith value, driver for Terratec Cinergy DT usb XS
Thank you very much Markus!! Do you also have any idea how to get the Cinergy CI usb working? I live in Holland and most of the channels are encrypted, so I need to use the Cinergy CI usb but I can't find drivers/information anywhere. I bought this in the firstplace for my playstation 3 with linux on it, I knew that support for CI was hard, but they said it would work with eyetv. So I thought, if it isn't working on linux it will on mac with eyetv. Everything works on my mac with eyetv except the CI usb :( Regards, Derk On Mon, Mar 10, 2008 at 4:37 PM, Markus Rechberger [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi, On 3/10/08, Derk Dukker [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi Tero, I also have a Terratec Cinergy DT XS diversity but can't get it working with the Cinergy CI usb, do you have any idea how I can make it work? This was an eeePC with a Terratec Hybrid XS FM (Analog TV, Radio, DVB-T), Pinnacle also had an eeePC with a Pinnacle 330e (Analog TV and DVB-T) both Empia em28xx based. [linux-dvb] Cinergy Ci usb support???
Hello all, I just bought a Cinergy DT USB XS Diversity and a Cinergy CI usb. The Cinergy DT USB XS Diversity seems to be supported under linux (haven't tried it yet though) but the Cinergy CI usb isn't supported under linux. Is it a lot of work to create a driver for it to make it work under linux??? I really need one because in the Netherlands most of the channels are encrypted. Could you please let me know... Or can I help? regards, Derk ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
