Re: [Lxde-list] A fix for PCManFM 1.1.0 crashes on unmount ?

To answer to this normal window close : is it normal that it also often closes all tabs when more than one is opened and even all windows when more than one is opened ? I think not... and I think also that I should be able to remove a USB stick or close the access to a partition and still be able to continue browsing my files (without having to reopen the file manager) if this is what I need to do. (programs should not be allowed to tell us what we need to do, we are in command, not them!) Finally it happened - this bug is fixed. I think fixed version will be in Arch shortly because I pushed fix into both stable and development branches. Feel free to test it thoroughly, it should work now, at least man who stepped on the bug constantly wrote it's gone. :) Regards, Mélodie Cheers! Unfortunately I still could not reproduce the issue and I have no idea yet how to reproduce it. Especially since you tell me that isn't a new problem in 1.1.0 but long presented one. :( With best regards. Re: [Lxde-list] A fix for PCManFM 1.1.0 crashes on unmount ?
Hello! JM has written on Sunday, 10 March, at 14:32: Maybe you remember a few months ago I pointed to a bug report I did on the pcmanfm bugzilla, related to unmounting internal and external peripherals and pcmanfm crashing each time I would umount it. This is a bug which all users could reproduce, even if sometimes it would crash and sometimes not. In fact, PCManFM closes almost each time an internal volume or external usb stick is unmounted, then ejected. I have to reopen pcmanfm each time, to be able to continue. I had reported the bug when using pcmanfm 9.10, which is the version still in use in the Ubuntu Precise repositories. In Archlinux, which I use daily, the pcmanfm version is 1.1.0-1, with libfm 1.1.0-3 and the behavior is still the same. at Archlinux there are pkgbuilds available with fixes from git: * aur/libfm-fixes-git 20120712-1 (6) * aur/pcmanfm-fixes-git 20120712-1 (10) but I have no idea if this one has been fixed in the above said versions. Are there any action planned to solve it for the stable version ? The described above isn't a bug but rather a normal window close when window contains a folder which is on unmounted volume. And yes, there is a Feature Request to add a possibility for another behavior. That option is planned for pcmanfm 1.2 release. The exact date of pcmanfm 1.2 release isn't known yet since there are a lot of features planned to add into the next release. With best wishes. Andriy. -- Everyone hates slow websites. So do we. Re: [Lxde-list] A fix for PCManFM 1.1.0 crashes on unmount ?
I'm on Lubuntu, running a 1.0.2 build from andrej's PPA and, if it's crashing, it's infrequent enough that I'm forgetting about it. (Though I don't insert removable media that often either) What I get is PCManFM closes tabs referencing ejected volumes... even if that means none are left and PCManFM exits On 13-03-10 09:32 AM, JM wrote: Hi, Maybe you remember a few months ago I pointed to a bug report I did on the pcmanfm bugzilla, related to unmounting internal and external peripherals and pcmanfm crashing each time I would umount it.
