Hi all, Just wondering if it is possible to use multiline and 1.2.0. At now the lyx-index_of_pictures only lists the tex pictures and not the pictures I inserted with lyx itself. This seems really strange to me. Lyx even does not start the caption with: Abbidung 12.34:. It starts directly with the text written inside the float. This is because you need to select the 'Caption' layout from the layouts list in the toolbar. This fixed the numeration when it is refered to the picture in the text. Questions about caption on a figure
Hi everybody, I am doing my Final Project Documentation on Lyx, and I have a trouble with captions of figures. I would want to do multiple lines captions on Figure Float component. I know how to get a Figure Float, and put an image and a caption inside. But the problem is that my caption has multiple lines using Control-Enters and in List of Figures I get all caption and I only want the first line in the List of Figures. If I try to put the text that I dont want as caption as Standar text, this text is not centered as caption text, and I would want to view the caption of figure as professional books has. Any idea??? Sorry but I am newbie using Lyx... Thx... Apologies for my english.

list of figures
Hello everybody, I have written my diploma thesis using Lyx. Everything worked fine and it was fun working with this program. But now I've got a problem with the text in the list of figures. My figures in the document do include the name of the figure and the source. This looks like this: Caption: 'Name of the figure', 'Source' [...] You need this hack: http://www.lyx.org/help/floats/caption.php#short Hope this answers your question! Ben.

Multiline and 1.2.0
Hi all, Just wondering if it is possible to use multiline and 1.2.0. At the moment I tried ERT[\begin{mutiline}] enter formula ERT[\end{multiline}] I fall down at the point of entering \\ in mathed, to get a new line. I seem to remember a similar post in the mailing list, but an hour searching through has failed to reveal it.

Thanks! I decided to use a slightly different method, namely creating a matrix in math mode. That not very good solution (for example, the text in math mode is not spellchecked). If you want a title page that is very different than the default one, then just create it manually as you would with a standard wordprocessor (without using the Title, Author, and Date layouts). Use a table instead of the math matrix.

table running from left to right
Hi, I could not solve this on my own: The tables should start from the left of the page and extend to the right end of the page. Regardless of whether a column is composed of one character entries. Is there a simple way to do this? Or i have to edit every table one by one to define the column width?

Space for Equations
I got the code below from the help site. The problem is, I need to reduce the spacing between the text and the equation, not increase. I entered negative values, but it didn't seem to help. Can anyone help me with this please? Multiple bibliographies - can't make chapterbib work
Hi I'd like to use separate bibliographies after each chapter and have tried to follow the instructions in: http://www.lyx.org/help/bibtex/bibtex.php3 but can't get it to work. I also tried the example that you can download http://www.lyx.org/help/bibtex/chapterbib.tgz and that didn't work either. I use Lyx 1.2.0 and have . Question: Does the example work with Lyx Below is the output from untaring the example and trying to view it with lyx.

Yes I have a similar problem, I am interested in the same question. If somebody could answer us... I will be very thanked.
