Re: caption for tables and figures
Hi Katrin, My guess is you want something like this. http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/150314/change-table-caption-numbering You will probably need to create the tables using latex. I am unsure if Lyx has a specific way of doing what you want. My guess is that you want to renew the thetable command. Welcome, Can you supply a minimal example showing the problem? There are some suggestions on how to prepare such a example at https://wiki.lyx.org/FAQ/MinimalExample On 31 October 2016 at 13:22, Hirsch, Katrinwrote: > To whom it may concern, > > > > I am using lyx for a while now to write my thesis. caption for tables and figures
To whom it may concern, I am using lyx for a while now to write my thesis. It's a nice software as long as you know the little bits and bobs. But I sorted tables and so on. Now I have a problem in setting the numbering of my tables and figures (and equations) in a document of the class books(standard class with extra fond sizes). I intend to have only one level in the numbering . But the software seems to set the levels with respect to the chapter hierarchy. Is there a way to change the settings for the numbering of Tables, figures ... and equations as well? Beamer frames with long titles prevent subsequent entering of text, graphics or new frames
I am not sure if this is a bug (it sure does not look like a feature ;-), but I discovered that I cannot enter any text or do anything else in a frame that has a title that exceeds the width of the page, causing the title to wrap around (which is fine), and totally prevent the creation of a new frame. None of the various ways of starting a new frame, inserting graphics or entering text seem to work after such a deadly long title (see attached MWE). The only (ugly) way I found around it is to use a dummy short title, and after I am done creating the frame, insert the real (long) title I wanted in the first place. Can anyone shed light on this? Was this intentional? Ehud Kaplan test-long-title.lyx Description: application/lyx
Write one symbol over another
Hi, I would like to write a minus (-) over a delta (\delta). By over I do not mean above but that the minus stroke through the delta. (I need it to be the minus and not some other strike through version.) I played a bit around with \mathrlab, \mathclap, and \mathllap but could not figure it our. I managed to get it done with four negative spaces (\!) but that is probably not the correct way to do it. Any ideas? Daniel

As of forthcoming LyX 2.2.3, this workaround will no longer be necessary. Jürgen signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
