I believe the Freenode people were confirming with the recipients before applying the cloak, so it's possible they may simply have missed you. Hi, 2009/12/9 Marius Gedminas mar...@pov.lt: At some point I noticed (by accident) a message (several days old) from MemoServ in the server tab (that I usually never read!). Someone from FreeNode wanted confirmation on whether I wanted a Maemo cloak or not. I sent him an answer (again, via MemoServ since he was offline) and a couple of days later received my cloak. yeah! Me too! I just replied to him with this command: /msg MemoServ send PriceChild hi! It requires only that you have registered your nickname with Freenode (/ quote nickserv register password email) and that you indicate your interest. We may want to do a mass emailing to these folks to make sure we don't miss anybody who doesn't browse this list. X-Fade's the man in charge of the channel, and he's a bit busy at the moment what with Maemo 5 just around the corner and whatnot so it may take a while before we start handing out vanity plates. For now we can at least confirm with those of you who are interested. So respond to the list or email me directly if you are and I'll compile a list of people for X-Fade to submit when he has time. There are a number of Nokians in this list (you know who you are ;)). You have the option of going with either a contributor cloak (/Maemo/ community/contributor/) or a cloak that indicates your association with Nokia more directly. Something like /Maemo/department/ position/, /Maemo/product/position/, /Maemo/position/, or more generic like /Maemo/employee/. It's mostly up to you (although any guidelines you can recommend would be appreciated). This offer also extends to any other Maemo Devices employees who would like cloaks. If you're on the list or work for Maemo Devices and are interested in a cloak then let me know and we'll get you set up sometime soon. ___ maemo-community mailing list maemo-community@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-community
