[mapguide-users] [MapGuide 2.2]

2014-04-30 Thread Rémy Gourrat
Hi,

In ajax viewer, i get some XY point from code inside the task pane

I know center the map on this XY point but now I would mark this location with
a symbol like google and i would like this symbol follow the movement of the
map.

The first solution is to create dinamically a layer with api mapguide and
create/delete a feature point in this layer.

Is there an another way with open layer library or else ?

Thanks for your help

of course it's possible, but your are going to have do a fair bit of hacking

it would be a lot easier with fusion than ajax as the fusion code base
is far more OO and doesn't use all those horrible templates

also, fusion already supports multiple maps

You should not have to hack any of the fusion templates from your 2.2
install. They have this support built in. That may actually even be the
cause of the problem.

I have used the Maestro 4.0.0.6359 UI. In the layout definition of the

got the same error. What will be the missing part that I am not doing?

[mapguide-users] Mapguide 2.2 integration with google maps

2013-02-28 Thread Rodolfo Moreno
Hi All,
I have put google maps as base maps 2 years ago using mapguide 2.1. In that
time I followed the steps that this link recommended
(http://trac.osgeo.org/fusion/wiki/MapGuideCommercialOverlays)

Now I have tried to do the same with mapguide OS 2.2 but I think that the
way that one get the google key has changed. These are the steps that I did:
- I Put my map in seudo mercator coordinate system 3857
- I have got my google key following this link
(https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial?hl=es#api_key)
- Next I put the following code in my index.html FUSION page (before of
calling to fusion.js )

With all these steps I have got the error in FUSION.js that say ROAD
undefined when try to load my index.html page.
My enviroment: window 2008 + IIS 7 + .NET 3.5 + mapguide os 2.2 (fusion
included in this version)

I hope some can help me. Thanks in advance.

You can do it all through the Maestro UI.

Fusion that's bundled with MGOS 2.2 and newer can support this out of the
box.

[mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 : Colorpicker.aspx transparency inverted

2013-02-12 Thread Rémy GOURRAT
Hi,

Someone can reproduce this issue ?

When I create a buffer in mapguide 2.2 with not solid pattern and that In
Colorpicker I check 100% transparency,

The background is not transparency and it's the last color selected in
Colorpicker which is displayed (the last color selected in UI is in ReadOnly
because 100% transparency is checked).

If I uncheck 100% transparency in Colorpicker the background is transparent.

I think this is a mistake in colorpicker.templ but I can get it.

Thanks for your help

[mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 does not login as Administrator

2012-04-27 Thread mongonv
Hey All,
I just installed the stable MG 2.2 for windows, using the installer on a Win
2003 server running IIS 6 and everything seems to have installed, but when I
try to login all I get is Cannot establish connection.

I have gone thru all the posts I can find and have verified that the
mgserver.exe is running, listed as a service and a process, the web server
is running, there is nothing in the logs, I have rebooted, and can't figure
out what may be the issue.

I am using the Administrator admin login, have copied it from multiple
posts to make sure, and still no luck.

The getting started guide said there was a MgWebServerExtensionsSetupfile
that was to be downloaded and installed, but I could not find anything but
the main mapguide installer on the downloads page. Is there something else
that has to be installed to get basic functionality working?

Also, the guide shows to use either port 8008 or the port the installer
setup which is 2810 to access the login page and if either is used all I get
is web page cannot be displayed.
http://localhost/mapguide/mapadmin/login.php brings up the login page, but
the login does not work.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

[mapguide-users] mapguide 2.2 ISS not responding after a while, unless mapadmin is openend

2012-02-06 Thread Jacco Wanders
Dear users,

I have mapguide 2.2 working with ISS on windows 2003 server. My problem is
however, that after a while mapguide is not responding anymore
(blankscreen in IE, mapserver service says that server is running). The funny
thing is, that once I login to the server and login to the mapguideadmin page.
The mapguide application is instantly working again (for sometime)!:)

I dont have this downtime problem with an other mapguide application installed
with apache on windows 2003. However, I need to use ISS,
because I have an online database which users can question/alter. This database
has a spatial join with the mapguide server. The online database only works with
ISS.

Can someone tell/help me this a solution for this problem

If more information is needed please let me know.

Best regards
Jacco

some care is required preparing the files, and I strongly suggest

I've also tried version 1.8 from SVN some times ago and had some
problems with mapguide. At the time I had not enough time to
investigate the reason, also because version 1.7 appered to run well.

I've compiled it passing the parameter (--with-thread), that for

So probably a correctly compiled gdal 1.6 or 1.7 for windows is going to

[mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 GDAL Raster Provider - a little help finding some files

2012-01-04 Thread Matt McLean
Hi,
I'm following the instructions laid out on
http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/MGOS22GdalProvider#MapGuide2.2GDALRasterProvider
in
order to get the GDAL Raster Provider running in MGOS 2.2 (32bit on Win
2008 R2 server).

From experience and reading through the mailing list I know that getting
the right build of GDAL is key to the stability of the provider. The
instructions reference a build
(release-1500-gdal-1-6-mapserver-5-6.zip) created
by Tamas Szekeres on his site: http://vbkto.dyndns.org/sdk/.

Problem is that the file is no longer available on Tamas' site. Does
anyone have a copy of this file kicking around that they could send my way?
Alternatively, can anyone confirm if a newer build would work - and be
stable?

I wuold like to connect with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 but on PHP extension
there isn't any extension for MSSQL. I read that PHP 5.3 don't have native
extension for MSSQL. So I download Sql Server driver for PHP 2.0 and add
extension on PHP.INI.

Now when I start a phpinfo page I get a error on php-cgi.exe: The FastCGI
process exited unexpectedly. The error code is 0x00ff

Can you help me?

[mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 RC4 issues with Fusion Trunk (and Google)

2011-04-01 Thread GreenMapSanMiguel

I have installed MapGuide 2.2 RC4 and am able to run with the created Fusion
singlefile, but not all my dual language stuff is handled correctly. I
usually solve this by creating a singlefile from the Fusion trunk that
includes my text strings and the OpenLayers/Lang javascript.

The current Fusion trunk (rev 2357) doesn't seem to work with Mapguide 2.2
RC4. Is this expected?

Also, now that I have more current versions, I've spent a full day trying
to get a Google Maps base layer but can't even get it to work for Sheboygan.
I've followed the published directions (which neglect to mention that the
Map IDs need to match) and every other example I can find in the archives
but get nothing but a blank map. I have also had no success displaying
reprojected Mercatour version of Sheboygan.

I know this isn't enough information for a detailed answer, but before I
waste more time... do commercial layer and reprojection work in MapGuide 2.2
RC4? If anyone has a working example of the Application Definition and
index.html, I would be very grateful.

[mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 and request map image

2010-12-29 Thread Achim H.

Hello users,

I have a question regarding the RequestMapImage() function.
In MG 2.1, you can change the image format from png to jpg (see below)
with a better result in performance.

function RequestMapImage(reqId, viewParams)
{
url = webAgent +
?OPERATION=GETDYNAMICMAPOVERLAYIMAGEFORMAT=JPGVERSION=2.1.0SESSION= +
sessionId + MAPNAME= + encodeComponent(mapName) + SEQ= + Math.random()
+ CLIENTAGENT= + encodeComponent(clientAgent) + BEHAVIOR=2;
url += viewParams;

But in MG 2.2, I don't get a better performance.
Is this a known issue?

RE: [mapguide-users] Mapguide 2.2 release date estimate?

2010-09-10 Thread Trevor Wekel
Hi Andrew,

I have started the ball rolling on the first MapGuide RC build. The first
thing on my plate is to get an updated release of FDO 3.5.0. I will be
performing the build for FDO and am currently working around some snags on the
build machine. In addition, there are a few outstanding defects in FDO and
MapGuide that I would like to roll into the first RC. If everything goes
smoothly, you should see MapGuide RC1 in two weeks.

[mapguide-users] Mapguide 2.2 Performance issue

2010-08-25 Thread Devadoss, Bala (US)
Hi,

We just started testing 64 bit MGO 2.2 on windows 2008R2. When we load tested
our site with 10 simultaneous users, the Mapguide service stops responding and
we had to restart the service.

I thought MGO2.2 is fixed to handle around 500 connections at the same time
compared to 64 connections in MGO2.1.

Please throw some ideas for the performance issue.

Thanks,
Bala

[mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 ODBC schema walk on Oracle 10g

2010-06-29 Thread Trevor Wekel
Hello,

I am posting this to -users since it may be of public interest. I have an
Oracle 10g XE database with a single user and three attribute tables. There
are no spatial tables in the database. When I create an ODBC database
connection using Maestro or Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2011, the UI freezes for
about five minutes.

Turning on trace logging reveals that the MapGuide Server is executing
DescribeSchemaAsXML for the three tables owned by the user and all of the
public synonyms visible to the user. This includes tables like ALL_CATALOG,
CTX_OBJECTS, and WWV_FLOW_HOURS_12 just to name a few.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to limit the schema walk to only return
the tables owned by the Oracle user?

Thanks,

Re: [mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 ODBC schema walk on Oracle 10g

2010-06-29 Thread Jonathon McIntyre
Hi Trevor,
I have seen this before but mostly with SQL Server databases (primarily
because of client usage but I would expect the same behaviour) where when a
user has select access to all tables/views in schema/database it has to walk
through all.

We were able to resolve it by creating specific users that had access to a
very select group of tables/views which increased performance drastically
(beware the 'public' user). We created the role and user and then granted
specific privileges.

In your case though, it appears that the problem is specific to public
synonms so you'll have to revoke SELECT access from PUBLIC and then grant
SELECT
access only to those that need to see the table.
Regards,
Jonathon

 Hello everyone,

First I would like to congratulate the efforts of developers to make a
binary for ubuntu! This is excellent news, because long ago I had the idea
of migrating MGOS to ubuntu, and this is the opportunity!

I installed .deb packages of release 2.2 beta on a clean install of Ubuntu
9.10 (on a VirtualBox virtual machine), all without problems, running the
script mginstallubuntu.sh. Then, I copied the phpviewersample-2.0 and
Sheboygan.mgp to their directories on ubuntu and tried to access the Site
Administrator, but without success. After running the command sudo
 /usr/local/mapguideopensource/webserverextensions/apache2/bin/apachectl
start, I've got access to the Site Administrator, but introducing the
credentials ID: Administrator and Pass: admin, it shows this message: Can
not establish connection . Then I tried to access through Maestro, but
appeared the message of the image attached.

I appreciate the help and apologize for this (probably) basic questiony,
but I'm not an advanced ubuntu user.

 Thank you!
 Pedro

 Hello Zac,

As far as I can understand, just crashes the mapguide server, apache keeps
running. I send the error logs of apache and mapguide, attached.

I managed to realize that problems occur essentially with raster data. When
working only with shapefiles, it gives no problem. The service run with
good performance and without chashes. By creating dataconnections and layers
of raster data, it always crashes.
More evident is the fact that the Site Administrator can not load .mgp
packages containing raster dataconnections. Others with just shp connections
 upload .mgp smoothly.

I also tried connecting to wms and wfs servers, but it gives this error
Failed to identify properties read: An error occurred performing a
 WebClient request.

Finally, I tried to connect to PostGIS, but doing Test connection, gives
the message: The remote server returned an error: (559) MgFdoException..

 Thank you!

 Thank you!
 Pedro

Did you run the mgserver.sh script as well to start the server process? You
just run the Apache server.
