[mapguide-users] [MapGuide 2.2]
Hi, In ajax viewer, i get some XY point from code inside the task pane I know center the map on this XY point but now I would mark this location with a symbol like google and i would like this symbol follow the movement of the map. The first solution is to create dinamically a layer with api mapguide and create/delete a feature point in this layer. Is there an another way with open layer library or else ? You should not have to hack any of the fusion templates from your 2.2 install. They have this support built in. [mapguide-users] Mapguide 2.2 integration with google maps
Hi All, I have put google maps as base maps 2 years ago using mapguide 2.1. In that time I followed the steps that this link recommended (http://trac.osgeo.org/fusion/wiki/MapGuideCommercialOverlays) Now I have tried to do the same with mapguide OS 2.2 but I think that the way that one get the google key has changed. These are the steps that I did: - I Put my map in seudo mercator coordinate system 3857 - I have got my google key following this link (https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial?hl=es#api_key) - Next I put the following code in my index.html FUSION page (before of calling to fusion.js ) With all these steps I have got the error in FUSION.js that say ROAD undefined when try to load my index.html page. My enviroment: window 2008 + IIS 7 + .NET 3.5 + mapguide os 2.2 (fusion included in this version) I hope some can help me. Thanks in advance. Hey All, I just installed the stable MG 2.2 for windows, using the installer on a Win 2003 server running IIS 6 and everything seems to have installed, but when I try to login all I get is Cannot establish connection. I have gone thru all the posts I can find and have verified that the mgserver.exe is running, listed as a service and a process, the web server is running, there is nothing in the logs, I have rebooted, and can't figure out what may be the issue. I am using the Administrator admin login, have copied it from multiple posts to make sure, and still no luck. The getting started guide said there was a MgWebServerExtensionsSetupfile that was to be downloaded and installed, but I could not find anything but the main mapguide installer on the downloads page. Is there something else that has to be installed to get basic functionality working? Also, the guide shows to use either port 8008 or the port the installer setup which is 2810 to access the login page and if either is used all I get is web page cannot be displayed. http://localhost/mapguide/mapadmin/login.php brings up the login page, but the login does not work. [mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 RC4 issues with Fusion Trunk (and Google)
I have installed MapGuide 2.2 RC4 and am able to run with the created Fusion singlefile, but not all my dual language stuff is handled correctly. I usually solve this by creating a singlefile from the Fusion trunk that includes my text strings and the OpenLayers/Lang javascript. Also, now that I have more current versions, I've spent a full day trying to get a Google Maps base layer but can't even get it to work for Sheboygan. I've followed the published directions (which neglect to mention that the Map IDs need to match) and every other example I can find in the archives but get nothing but a blank map. I have also had no success displaying reprojected Mercatour version of Sheboygan. I know this isn't enough information for a detailed answer, but before I waste more time... do commercial layer and reprojection work in MapGuide 2.2 RC4? Re: [mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 RC4 issues with Fusion Trunk (and Google)
did you try using the 2.2 fusion branch? On Sat, Apr 2, 2011 at 8:55 AM, GreenMapSanMiguel webmas...@smamap.com wrote: I have installed MapGuide 2.2 RC4 and am able to run with the created Fusion singlefile, but not all my dual language stuff is handled correctly. I usually solve this by creating a singlefile from the Fusion trunk that includes my text strings and the OpenLayers/Lang javascript. The current Fusion trunk (rev 2357) doesn't seem to work with Mapguide 2.2 RC4. Is this expected? Also, now that I have more current versions, I've spent a full day trying to get a Google Maps base layer but can't even get it to work for Sheboygan. I've followed the published directions (which neglect to mention that the Map IDs need to match) and every other example I can find in the archives but get nothing but a blank map. I have also had no success displaying reprojected Mercatour version of Sheboygan. I know this isn't enough information for a detailed answer, but before I waste more time... do commercial layer and reprojection work in MapGuide 2.2 RC4? If anyone has a working example of the Application Definition and index.html, I would be very grateful. -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/MapGuide-2-2-RC4-issues-with-Fusion-Trunk-and-Google-tp6232676p6232676.html Sent from the MapGuide Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users -- Zac Spitzer Solution Architect / Director Ennoble Consultancy Australia http://www.ennoble.com.au http://zacster.blogspot.com +61 405 847 168 ___ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users

Hi Andrew, I have started the ball rolling on the first MapGuide RC build. The first thing on my plate is to get an updated release of FDO 3.5.0. I will be performing the build for FDO and am currently working around some snags on the build machine. In addition, there are a few outstanding defects in FDO and MapGuide that I would like to roll into the first RC. If everything goes smoothly, you should see MapGuide RC1 in two weeks. [mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 ODBC schema walk on Oracle 10g
Hello, I am posting this to -users since it may be of public interest. I have an Oracle 10g XE database with a single user and three attribute tables. There are no spatial tables in the database. When I create an ODBC database connection using Maestro or Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2011, the UI freezes for about five minutes. Turning on trace logging reveals that the MapGuide Server is executing DescribeSchemaAsXML for the three tables owned by the user and all of the public synonyms visible to the user. This includes tables like ALL_CATALOG, CTX_OBJECTS, and WWV_FLOW_HOURS_12 just to name a few. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to limit the schema walk to only return the tables owned by the Oracle user? Re: [mapguide-users] MapGuide 2.2 ODBC schema walk on Oracle 10g
Hi Trevor, I have seen this before but mostly with SQL Server databases (primarily because of client usage but I would expect the same behaviour) where when a user has select access to all tables/views in schema/database it has to walk through all. We were able to resolve it by creating specific users that had access to a very select group of tables/views which increased performance drastically (beware the 'public' user). We created the role and user and then granted specific privileges. In your case though, it appears that the problem is specific to public synonms so you'll have to revoke SELECT access from PUBLIC and then grant SELECT access only to those that need to see the table.
