Re: [libreoffice-marketing] Visual Identity of LibreOffice Ecosystem
I believe we need a lock in key symbol. Like a penis in a vagina . It is a visual identity that would have a positive effect that everyone can relate with. Seriously? What are we even talking about/ doing? Why? My other idea for a logo is the middle finger wrapped in a peace sign. That's how we greet each other where I am from= Boston, MA. It's a universal indicator of direction when driving. We are proud MASSholes. Best, of the best, of the best- Sir, graduated with honors. And yet, I still have no idea why we are here? Dude you are running one of the most elite free, open-sourced software / non proprietary office software suites and you are worried about logos? You have to know your worth, and just realize it is a survival mode activity. How did you get paid today? Imagine that this is part of your job description= survive. On the random rare parts of undisturbed wilderness, or for the most unfortunate few, homeless in metropolises, survival is the most important priority. So can we come up with a game plan as to how to bring down Microsoft? Any takers? -Christopher Dreher San Juan, PR 00923 On 2021-03-30 5:06 p.m., Italo Vignoli wrote: We have started brainstorming about the development of a visual identity for the LibreOffice Ecosystem, to help the recognition of companies and individuals developing products based on the LibreOffice Technology or doing business around LibreOffice. I would say that a clear logo, expressing the feeling of quality, is appropriate for the goal and something that any party in the ecosystem would love to use. Re: [libreoffice-marketing] Visual Identity of LibreOffice Ecosystem
Hi everyone! I am Chris, and live within the beautiful island of Puerto Rico! My personal advice to this project is to market to Microsoft and Apple's feeble footing, and topple the Big Data giants at their knees- with delicate, but deliberate slicing thrusts of passionate programming activism! In short: get the Libre Office, and Free Software Foundation products out to people who actually need these products the most- the relatively poor, and absolute poverty areas of the international arenas. IT is at its core meant for all users- like good products of any nature. My fastidious loathing of the typical IT quasi egomaniac fuddling with C compilers and thinks (s)he rocks it beyond the hypervisor potential. I face palm at these twerps. It is the pizza pounding, Rick & Morty bingeing, hipster Carnegie Mellon who cannot look up the phrase / now word "Dipshit" in the Oxford Dictionary that enrage me the most. These conflated, yes, DS CS pseudo savants are a complete disgrace to the Free Software Foundation, Richard Stallman, ( yes and lump Linus Torvalds), and the precious work of numerous kernel programmers. Literally we have charlatans as champions in today's world, fresh off some epic MOBA quest. When will people be able to code in Assembly, or even create OS kernel with workstation or device communal OS interfacing, integrity, and interactive mutation correcting evolving code- with workstation/device community cohesion from adapting code with evolutionary OS proximity. In short. Just market the Free software Foundation better, to chip away at Microsoft, and Apple products- or even Alphabet inc/Google products. Next find time to code in Assembly. Possibly a small unique logo would work best. This would cross all language barriers. Something like Adobe often uses. [libreoffice-marketing] Visual Identity of LibreOffice Ecosystem
We have started brainstorming about the development of a visual identity for the LibreOffice Ecosystem, to help the recognition of companies and individuals developing products based on the LibreOffice Technology or doing business around LibreOffice.
