Related to this, I suggest we close bugs that was only in git and not
in the stable version when they get fixed.

I agree, close them when you see them.

The behavior changes in device and brush selection handling is fairly
big, but if you think it is good then lets go for it.

I admit that I did not do a lot of testing with that yet. Andrew, do you
have an oppinion on this?

We are in the lucky situation to have several users who work with git and
give useful feedback from time to time. Maybe we should keep with the
tradition of ultra-conservative maintainence releases for the others?

Speaking about data loss, this bug would be a nice fix, too:

Do we have consensus on how to solve this? I've already stated my
opinion in the matter, but do note that resolving it in that matter
would be a (again) fairly significant behavior change.

Hm right maybe not the kind of thing to rush into a release last minute.
Will comment on the bugreport.

Jon, I've sent you an initial pt_BR.po translation file a couple of
weeks ago, as I had not a way of setting up
git to make the complete request merge process on the date. DId you
get that file?: I got no reply from you.

I will be more than happy to update it for release 0.9.1
(if it hit span box r was acidentally erased, I can just re-email it)

[Mypaint-discuss] planning a 0.9.1 release

2011-02-03 Thread Martin Renold
I'm starting to get somewhat annoyed by reports/requests of stuff that is
fixed in git. Let's make a new release!

We also have one data loss bug fixed (bug #17536). It happens only together
with GIMP; we should really get the fix out. I think git master is in good
shape to make a full release, rather than just backporting the critical
bugfixes.

This means we need a short string-freeze, and go through the buglist once
again, and test a bit more. Is that okay with everyone? Are we ready for
string-freeze now already? Anyone got changes in the making that we should
wait for?

Speaking about data loss, this bug would be a nice fix, too:
