2009-09-26 Thread Cira DAnna
Sorry I've been a little out of the loop, it's been a crazy couple of weeks.  i
have the soak off gels.  the Kit was $95 and can do 300 sets of nails.  you can
use any 36watt lamp too!!!  i did my toes for the summer with bling they lasted
for 2 months (then I got tired of them and removed them).  i just did a full
set of overlays on one of the hair stylists at work and so far so good.  she
has pseriosis on her thumbs which causes deep ridges and you can't tell with
the gel on.  They are the easiest gels I've tried  If you are just going to
buy the clear gel you need the bond-it and clean-it too.  I love the gel files
TT has too!!!

nope, she doesn't do sample kits, but it's a one-component gel so you could get
just the clear and give it a try.

I LOVE IT!

No seriously! I am actually so surprised at how much I love it. I'm not a big
fan of soak-off gels but I had to get Tammy's new gel just because it took so
long for her to introduce one.

So about a month ago I did my left hand. Just 2 coats of the peaches and cream
gel. LOVE the color! Very natural on my nails. But I'm left handed, so I did
not expect great results from it.  For one thing, it being soak off and all, I
was thinking there was no way it would last more than a couple of days whatwith
the acetone for polish removing, etc. Also, I have (had) yet to find one of the
rubberized, soak-off gels that didn't peel away at the free edge.

So. 2 weeks later I still had the gel on my left hand. It still looked
stunning. It had NOT peeled at the FE and although it did eventually start to
lift just in the corners where I hold my acetone-drenched cotton pads-- it was
easy enough to just buff those little corners of those two nails down a tad.

Unfortunately, since I had only done one hand, the nails on my left hand are
now much longer than the nails on my right hand! So two weeks ago, I gently
buffed off the gel and redid BOTH hands with the natural pink gel. It's been
two weeks-- SAME results, with just a tad bit of melting away where I hold the
cotton pads, and the nails on my right hand are starting to catch up with the
ones on my left hand.

This stuff rocks! Even my pickiest critic is loving it! It's everything I was
hoping YN's Mani-q would be. (I ended up being disappointed with mani-q) AND I
love that TT's gel is available in semi-transparent colors. Very natural
looking and great shine. Very flexible. It's not a product for doing
extensions, it makes a great gel manicure product.

Now, if it would just come in a line of gel polish colors, I'd be set! (I'm
told they're coming.)

NailTech:: Re: Tammy Taylor sok off gels

2009-09-26 Thread Debi Longo

Ladies - Can you do pink and whites with the TT product? If so, how is the
white lasting, no chipping? I have been looking for a gel product myself, but
have been out of the loop for some time (Just getting back onto this list after
a couple of years). I had heard that the Akenz product is also nice, but I like
the idea of a soak off gel product.

the soak off gels are not really intended for extra length because they are too
flexible. they are intended for the gel main's and bling on the toes. akzentz
has both a traditional gel and soak off.

cotton pads, and the nails on my right hand are starting to catch up with the
ones on my left hand.

told they're coming.)

nope, she doesn't do sample kits, but it's a one-component gel so you could get
just the clear and give it a try.

For one thing, it being soak off and all, I
was thinking there was no way it would last more than a couple of days
whatwith the acetone for polish removing, etc. Also, I have (had) yet to find
one of the rubberized, soak-off gels that didn't peel away at the free edge.

NailTech:: Re: Tammy Taylor sok off gels

2009-09-11 Thread Maggie in Visalia
I'm going with the popular gel manicure description. The TT gels are so thin
and light and flexible, it really has a very polish-like feel to it. I want
clients to know it's really more suitable as a way to give the natural nail a
little sumpin-sumpin , not a traditional gel that is suitable for building
extensions.
