[NTG-context] Two columns in a frame

2012-11-02 Thread Mari Voipio
Hi All,

I'm doing something where the example at
http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Columns#.28Simple.29Columns_in_a_narrow_frame
would be quiet useful. Except that if I copy-paste the example in my
ConTeXt, I get two columns typeset almost on top of each other, with
non-existent column distance (a lot less than on the graphic in the
wiki). Attached is what I get out of my ConTeXt, version 2012.05.30
11:26 MKIV

BTW, the columns page doesn't seem to contain information on how to
force a column break, at least not under that name I'm attaching a
short version of the file where I'd need it.

Being clueless again, thankful for any help,

Mari

2012-11-02 Thread Mari Voipio
I'm really being a clueless idiot again this morning, hit send instead
of attach (and they are not even next to each other). Here's my
own file that tries to implement the example from the wiki, with
limited success.

If you don't have Lucida OT, it may look a bit funny, but the pdf
should explaien the problem pretty well.

Re: [NTG-context] New module: crossref

2012-11-02 Thread Procházka Lukáš Ing . - Pontex s . r . o .

Hello,

it looks nice.

Two notes:

1)

There is a LaTeX package (vref? fref? - I can't remeber) which distinguishes
between references targeting forward and backward from the place of the
crossref.

So your module should be slightly improved adding uparrow / downarrow for
the link which links ahead of / behind the use of crossref.

Both marks should be the same (uparrow) by default, but user might be allowed to define both of
them (uparrow and downarrow).

2)

I looked into you code and I found that you use

\setupcrossreftext[cz][atpageLeft={ na stranÄ› }]

It might be more flexible to use symbolic name of the ě (UTF8: Ä›):

\setupparareftext[cz][atpageLeft={ na stran\ecaron\ }]

as I don't know how the module would work if included into another source file
which doesn't use UTF-8 encoding.

Thanks for your work anyway.

Best regards,

Lukas

[NTG-context] \startchapter[title = First] didn't show the title.

2012-11-02 Thread Jeong Dal
Hi all,

Here is one more question.

\starttext
\startchapter[title = First]
bla bla bla

\stoptext

In this sample, the title First isn't show up.
After removing spaces before and after = sign, it showed up.

It is not a big problem though, but, is it intended?
It still remains after the updating.

Thanks for reading

yes: in your case the keyword is title and the value is First

[NTG-context] System variable HOME

2012-11-02 Thread Procházka Lukáš Ing . - Pontex s . r . o .

Hello,

it seems that Ctx [re]defines the system variable HOME on its run; compare:

- command line:

C:\Lukas\Jobs\HubI-ISK.DSP\SO_210\Statics.Txset home
Home=C:\Lukas
HOMEDRIVE=C:
HOMEPATH=\Documents and Settings\LPR

- and result of:

 t-Home.mkiv
\starttext
  \directlua{context(os.getenv(Home))}
\stoptext

- C:/Documents and Settings/LPR

Is it possible to avoid this substitution anyhow? - I'd need to keep (or access) the
original value (= C:\Lukas).

TIA.

Best regards,

Lukas

Our attempt to make the module more modular backfired due to change in
context internals.

Re: [NTG-context] RFC: path relative to current file.

2012-11-02 Thread Andre Caldas
Hello!

 It would be REALLY NICE if the functionality of pathrelativetome was
 provided by ConTeXt.

 in file-job.lua add around the function 'process':

 local function toppath()
 [...]

 \component toppath:/subpath/somefile.tex

Works like a charm, Hans! Sorry I took so long to test...
I copied file-job.lua from the GIT repository, and changed my tex
files to use toppath:/path/to/file.

For example:
