Perhaps you could start by typesetting a technical source rather than prose?

I suggest trying to typeset the UK Meteorological Office's Shipping Forecast :-)

- as broadcast on the Radio
  

It's a good (in my opinion) source because it is amenable to being printed in 
several different ways: one might be to simply copy the webpage's layout, while 
another could be to use columns to fit more onto a single page of text.



Alternatively, a much more demanding exercise would be to typeset the user 
manual for the XML editing software "Oxygen".

standardized set of XML element and attribute names. All XHTML examples are

That was discussed in the blog post: finding a source of well-formed XHTML
documents. There are a number of tools to sanitize HTML, as mentioned in
the thread. KeenWrite uses the Java-based JSoup library https://jsoup.org/
to sanitize HTML and then create an XHTML version.

Actually, I have been typesetting XHML documents (generated by pandoc
from Markdown sources) for years now.

Sorry for having explained myself like crap. I wanted to write an
introduction on how to typeset XML sources in ConTeXt. I cannot see how
free translation services may be of help here.

[NTG-context] PDF/A-3, XMP and Factur-X

Hi again,

I’m looking into extending my ConTeXt-made invoices with embedded XML 
data according to the DE/FR Factur-X standard (in Germany also known as 
ZUGFeRD).


Does anyone have some experience with that?

For that, I need PDF/A-3(a) compliant documents – current documentation 
is only on PDF/A-1(a), but that doesn’t seem to be the problem.


Now I’m supposed to put additional information into the XMP metadata.
I found lpdf-xmp.lua; but it seems like I can’t just use

Would I need to add my tags to the mapping table of lpdf-xmp.lua?

Or circumvent it after a look at the function concerned:

If I try to use xml.fillin, I apparently need the name of the current

dialog of Acrobat Pro 9. I also tried different values like "xmp" 
instead of metadata. Clearly I don’t understand what I’m doing here ;)


Is there a check against some schema involved?

It looks like I should include an additional XMP schema for Factur-X 
with the URI "urn:factur-x:pdfa:CrossIndustryDocument:invoice:1p0#", 
prefix "fx". How can I do that?


This is the example from the docs:

Then I’d use \attachment to include my "factur-x.xml" invoice (that I 
must generate from my Lua invoice code), but that’s a task for another 
day ;)

[NTG-context] Does writing \emdash versus writing "—" in the source file impact the displayed output?

I have been using \endash, \emdash, and \figuredash in place of the various 
types of dashes in my document, \quotation{} around quotes, etc. so basically 
the only really punctuation appearing in the tex file are periods, commas, 
semi-colons, colons, apostrophes, and question-marks. The problem I have is 
when copying to a tool like Grammarly for grammar checks, these special symbols 
throw off the grammar-checking tools.

Does ConTeXt render and display these punctuation differently when I write them 
in the coded form, versus simply writing in the unicode directly?

Reading your diff, I also didn't comment out the lines with
string.tolower and local lowered, but I guess this is not an issue
since I commented out all the entries with lowered[tag|field]

Dear Massi,

Thanks for your solution. But the thing may be related to the \appendtoks
macro. It doesn't work to put just \setnotetext there.
\note works fine, so that's the reason I need the "full functional macro".

Maybe I didn't get the point, so if it's not too much to ask, could you do
it on my MWE?

PS: sorry I have to use another email account because my institute mailbox
took forever to get the message before my government (China) finishes
auditing it.
