hi kevin,

if you are not using OTC's single-sign-on feature (or not using a preconfigured
username/password) you might have to add the following parameter to your
freeRDP application:

-u --no-nla

there will be a fix/workaround for this issue in upcoming freeRDP releses.

Hi Martin,

I've just tried adding -u --no-nla to FreeRDP under manual parameters.
Unfortunately by adding it, after I log on I get a black screen and that is it.
So I'm afraid it hasn't worked for me I'm afraid :(

Hopefully a new version of freeRDP will be released soon which fully supports
it.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Re: [openthinclient-user] [Openthinclient-user] rdesktop only passes first three characters of login to Virtual Desktop

2011-06-07 Thread KevHal

Hi Tobias,

I have attempted to integrate Rdesktop 1.7.0 without much success. My
openthinclient is running on Windows (no choice on that), so I have used a
Ubuntu installation and installed all the tcos-dev packages and
dependancies.

I have followed the dev guide and created the deb packages:

I have tried to do this twice now, location here:
http://www.kevhal.com/openthinclient/manager-contrib/

When I load these into Openthinclient, all looks good and an icon appears
for my users, however there is nothing in the /etc/rdesktop170 directory
that it creates so cannot launch.

The second point is how do I get extra functions for example, connect to
server. the freeRDP I have tried from the post above worked fine.

I'm not fantastic at linux but I've obviously mist something somewhere.

Many thanks

Kevin Halstead

I have installed the new fork RDP client into OTC which is supposed to
 support
it, however it isn't the case unfortunately as it doesn't pass any
 credentials
 at all and fails.
Hopefully there is a solution soon as some of my colleagues are very
 frustrated
 with it.

Re: [openthinclient-user] [Openthinclient-user] rdesktop only passes first three characters of login to Virtual Desktop

2011-05-03 Thread KevHal

Hi Jörn,

Thanks for the your repo, I've added it to my sources and installed freerdp,
looks like this version isn't quite there. It connects but if it requires to
switch to the second server it just kicks you off. So its actually worse
than rdesktop6.0. If the next version gets released I hope this issue would
be finally resolved.

Would you be able to let us know when you add the next version to your
sources?

Many thanks

Kevin

 Hi Kevin,

the things you're explaining are caused by the old rdesktop - even the
one from the SVN. I already build package for freerdp some weeks ago and
 we
have a friendly relationship to the people coding on this cool project.

 The unofficial repo is: http://otc.nutzerverwaltung.de/manager-contrib

Please add this to your sources.list of the otc-server and try it. Keep in
mind, that this is very BETA!

I'm not sure if the package out there in the repo (imho 0.8.2) has already
full nla-support. I'm looking forward to release a new version on the next
 weekend.

 Stay tuned!

Hello Kevin,

it is possible to build your own FreeRDP-Package and use the application
with openthinclient Manager.
In my opinion the current openthinclient OS includes the necessary libraries
and gtk to do this.
Some help you can find here:
