Re: [openthinclient-user] Client won't open applications

2014-09-25 Thread Graham Brown
I had this when there was a mistake in my config. In my case it was because the
. and , were transposed in the IP address of the RDP server I had specified
because of a keyboard mapping error and a very fuzzy screen!

Subject: [openthinclient-user] Client won't open applications

I'm trying to open applications in the autologin RAM boot profile (FreeRDP and
rdesktop for example) and they don't open, they go to the upper task bar for a
moment, then they exit without any warning.

Does anybody know what can be causing this?

Thanks

Start the application from a shell. (ctrl-alt-x)
Rightclick on the FreeRDP-icon - properties - command
Copy the command in a shell (e.g. middle mouse button) and press enter.
Then you'll receive some startup information.

Please give feedback, what the output in your shell is.

Thank you Graham, but it’s not that.

I’ve also just made a fresh install with no upgrades/updates whatsoever of the
vmware image and still have the same problem…
