I would be. Is it going to be open? Earlier in the winter they weren't  
sure if they were going to be able to replace all the bridges and  
cable cars
that got destroyed in last years storms by this season. Also is  
anything happening with that Juan de Fuca trail suggestion put out a  
month ago?

That sounds great Ewan.

I talked to the warden from Waterton and the only possible route  
involves ascending a pass with a 40 degree slope that has a 3-4 meter  
ice pack. Pushing it a little.

What are the inclines of the passes. If there is a significant amount  
of snow they should be done early in the day with crampons, otherwise  
snowshoes should be fine.

This will be the last email i sent out to the list - so as to stop  
clogging people boxes (sorry) - so if you're interested contact one of  
us directly.

What length of trip is being looked for? If we were to go to Waterton  
it would prob be best to do a 2 night 3 day trip because of the length  
of the drive.

I like the idea of Nordegg because of the proximity. Waterton has the
