You have to downoad and install a download manager that is pretty inaccessible.
 However, once
installed, it's operation is automatic and you don't need to do anything with
it. It is probably
preferable to have someone sighted help wet the manager in the first place.

There is no cloud storage. You download the music in 320 kbps mp3 and it's
then yours to do with as
you will. Making a backup copy is advised because if you want to download it
again, they will
charge you the same amount you paid for it.

You can buy tracks or albums a la carte i.e. without a membership or you can
purchase various levels
of membership to get a reduced price per track. I find the membership route to
be the most
economical.

The selection is probably not as complete as Amazon or iTunes, but it's pretty
extensive. Best
thing to do is check for several artists/albums you'd be interested in to see
if they meet your
needs.

Is emusic.com easier to use than Amazon and do they store your music in
 the
cloud? My other concern would be that I like the older 40's and 50's
 music,
bigbands and such, and so many of these websites focus strictly on the
 newer
 stuff.

 music?
 (Using JAWS and Windows 7.)

 Thanks,

Dictation products for Windows 7 PCS

2014-01-06 Thread Donald L. Roberts
I am running Window-eyes 8.4 on a Windows 7 64-bit desktop. Thus far,
I have not ventured into the area of message dictation except on my
iPhone. But now I would like to get something to use on this windows
PC.

Can anyone on list provide opinions preferably from first hand
knowledge regarding the latest version of Dragon Dictate and or the
dictation facility built into Windows 7. When referring to Dragon, I
am referring to the lower priced of the two Dragon options, not the
one which allows one to dictate PC commands. Earlier versions of
Dragon required the person doing the dictation to train the program to
get used to the sound and inflection of your voice. Is this still the
case?

Additionally, I know that Jaws users could purchase the very expensive
J say scripts for Dragon, but I doubt there is anything comparable for
Window-eyes. I would like responses from Jaws users also. Remember,
this is for text dictation only, not for issuing PC commands. Thanks
in advance.

LOOKING FORCASSETTE PLAYER WITH LINE-OUT JACK

2014-01-06 Thread tim cumings
I'm looking for a cassette player with a line-out jack to transfer my cassettes
to the pc. I don't want to spend $200 on the aph four-track machine just to get
a line-out jack. Does anyone have recommendations for an inexpensive two-track
player or recorder with a line-out jack?
