Podcast On the Tecsun PL-660 Multi Band World Radio
Hi! I've started on a Podcast/Demo of this radio and it will be ready by this time next week, I feel I know enough about the radio now to be able to give an informed description and demonstration for those who are interested however, I will not be discussing the topic of memory presets. The PL-660 has 2,000 of these, the Pl-880 has 2,500, the Sangean ATS909X 370 and so it goes on. I don't use memory locations myself on radios any longer, the methods each multi band radio use for setting memories is different for each case and I'm getting sick of trying to remember what steps are needed for each set, its easier to remember fequency values and just type them on the keypad and most multi band radios available these days at least have a keypad in a calculator arrangement for the typing of frequency information etc. The only exception to this rule I know of is the CC SW radio From CCrane and if you're looking at that particular radio for its memory presets then forget it, its by far the worst I've come across in all my time of working with radio sets, the memory presets available - 10 for each band - are not overwhelming by any means but getting to them is a challenge to anyone without sight, one button cycles through them. I'll let the list know when the demo is ready. ** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane

RE: is it worth upgrading to PowerDVD 14?
I too want to get DVD Audio Extractor. I love extracting the audio speaker by speaker to put it in real life turms. I know the software says all 6 chanals but your average person won't get what in living heck are audio chanals. So why it matters is because each channel is representing each speaker in either a 5.1 system, or a full 7.1 surround sound system. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Alexandra Grünauer Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2014 2:34 AM To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: RE: is it worth upgrading to PowerDVD 14? Portable AirPlay Audio systems
Hi! Up until now I thought that Bose was the only company offering a portable audio AirPlay speaker system with its Soundlink Air and Soundtouch models. I've since found another company offering a portable audio/AirPlay speaker system, look for iHome and you'll discover that this company offers a whole range of audio accessaries for iPhones and the like, airPlay, Bluetooth etc. I plan to buy the iHome Rechargeable AirPlay system at some stage, the Bose is excellent but I'm a bit hesitant to take it outside for obvious reasons, just a superb piece of equipment and I want it to stay that way smile. The iHome unit is smaller and gets some good reviews, sound quality is decent it seems. That one I hadn't tried. Well, when I typed plain media, Media Player Classic comes up, but when I click on it, it doesn't look like WMP.
