hey randy!
there are lots of mixing consoles out there, and mostly they look the same,
but well a normal mixing console, can have up to 32 faders, but that's a 32
channel mixer, smile. and the mixingconsole itself has some knobs for
panning, and Equalizers and so on. but it al depends on what you like to
have, and the mixing consoles can also have different prises, depending on
which kind of mixer you would like to have. I recommend that you might go to
a music store in your area, and ask them to have a look at a mixing board or
console as we say as well, smile.
but for you as a station playlist user, if you have a low budjet, you can
use the station playlist it self. I do that, I don't need a mixing console
for that, well, I can use one, but then I have to fiddle around with other
programs and so on, so I'm satisfied with what I have so far.

Folks, please have mercy on me for asking this idiotic question.

what exactly does a mixer console look like?
for example, for you folks who do radio or internet broadcasting?
Are there any good accessible ones?
or, what do you guys recommend?
How easy are they to set up?

Hello listers,

Just wanted to know if any of you have used the latest version of Winamp
from Radionomy? If so, how accessible is it with screen readers? I found
out that the there is apparently only two versions, pro and light, and
the pro is around $19.00.

I might consider springing for the Pro version if I knew that it was
actually worth it, or maybe another way of putting it, if it wouldn't
break all of my presets and WE scripts/apps. I'd far rather use the old
version for as long as I can, rather than destroying a perfectly working
Winamp listening environment.

Hi.
The thing is that the newer models like ls14 and dm901 don't allow
uploading voice files as the older models. When ever are more voice
file updates you will then have to download a seprit voice updater
program wich will bring the files up to date, after wich you can
choose another language if supported. Keep in mind that not all
display languages are supported by speech. The manual and
spesifications are very clear about that.

Hi.

On an Olympus LS-14 bought from Japan there are English Japanese with
voice guidance for each language so when display language is changed voice
guidance language changes as well. On the other hand on a dm-901
purchased

in Sweden although there are many languages on the screen voice guidance
came only in English. I updated the firmware on dm-901 to the latest and
when installed Swedish voice guidance file English disappeared and was
replaced, vice versa happened when I installed the English voice guidance
file.

My question is how to to make multiple voice guidance language files
active

on demand like in the situation of LS-14 mentioned above and not replace
each other?

My other question is I want to replace Japanese on LS-14 with Swedish both
on the display as well as voice guidance. How to accomplish that?

When I searched the downloads of LS-14 I only found the manual for
ls-12/14,
no firmware nor voice guidance files, regards.

4.0-devsnapshot are now available

Dear broadcasters using Studio 5.00 and later,

I'm delighted to announce the release of SPL add-on for NVDA version 3.3.
This maintenance release includes one bug fix and a little surprise (I think
it is actually a huge one). In addition, for our adventurers, the second
November 2014 snapshot of version 4.0-dev is also available for testing
(read below for more information).

To read more about version 3.3 and to download the add-on , go to:

http://addons.nvda-project.org/addons/StationPlaylist.en.html

What's new in add-on 3.3:

* For users of SAM encoders: some people reported the following: if
you switch away from SAM encoder window and switch back, you cannot perform
encoder commands such as F12 (stream labeler). This has been fixed.

* A huge Thanksgiving gift/surprise: as you know, if you use screen
readers with SAM Encoders, you had to stay on the encoder window until the
encoder is connected to a streaming server. I'm happy to announce that this
is no longer the case starting from add-on version 3.3. After installing
add-on 3.3 and later, you can work on other things from other programs while
NVDA is keeping an eye on connection attempt messages. Also, if you told
Studio to play the first track after connecting to a streaming server, you
don't have to worry about playing intros for your show while you do other
things such as sending and receiving tweets. One reminder though: you don't
want to exit or restart NVDA while connection is in progress - you may
restart NVDA after connection has been made (and preferably while a track is
playing).

Now the fun part: the second November snapshot of 4.0-dev is packed with new
features and bug fixes designed to gather early feedback before releasing
public beta (the first public beta is scheduled for mid-December). For our
adventurous users, please remember that 4.0-dev is a work in progress, so
please don't try it in a production environment. Also, note that SPL 4.33 is
no longer supported starting from this snapshot.

Here's what's new in the new 4.0-dev snapshot (which can be downloaded from
the link above):

* Encoder bug fixes and surprise: The same bug fix and the surprise
also applies to SPL Encoder.

* SPL Encoder connection messages: NVDA will now detect that you
entered a wrong password (SPL Encoder does show a message saying password
for the server failed). In addition, SPL Encoder support is available for
those using StationPlaylist Streamer.

* Braille Timer: you can now monitor track intros with braille. If
you press Control+Shift+X, NVDA will step through the following four
options: braille track ending, braille track intros, braille both track
endings and intro endings, and braille timer off (default). So if you set
your end of track alarm to 45 seconds, NVDA will braille remaining time for
the track starting from 45 seconds till end of track (this works in Studio
window). Future enhancement will relax this requirement, allowing you to
monitor end of track at all times as long as you are focused in the Studio
window.

* SPL Assistant: due to popular request, the S command to show
track scheduled time now announces the exact time when the track will begin
playback (e.g. 00:15:20 if the next track is set to broadcast at that time).

* SPL Controller: two new commands were added, including remaining
time for the track ( command is R) and enable microphone without fade (N).
Also, beeps will be heard when you turn microphone on or off via SPL
Controller layer. A more powerful and simpler SPL Controller is on its way
for next major release after 4.0.

* Microphone alarm: if you left your mic on for a while, NVDA will
now play an alarm sound to let you know of this fact (by default, microphone
alarm is off; to configure this, press Control+NVDA+4). This setting is
permanent.

* Library scan: fixed a bug where a user would accidentally enable
library scan twice.

Please feel free to test 4.0-dev snapshots (if you are curious about it or
would like to send early feedback). Thanks, and enjoy the rest of the
weekend and the holidays.

Cheers,

Joseph

successfully listen to stations on TapinRadio at the moment. I know it
worked well previously so I'm only interested to know if some people can

the stations menu to hear a station since the crashes started. If some
people can still listen to stations using TapinRadio this will show that
not everyone is having problems. However if no one on the list can now
listen to stations using TapinRadio I think it is more likely that this
crash is a problem on the TapinRadio end. Feedback would be appreciated
and I hope this issue is resolved quickly!

you can't rip to wav files anymore because they come completely distorted.
Also since Beta 2 there hasn't been a more recent version of Lame included.

I'd warn everybody to use that version since there hasn't been any change
that I noticed to the beta 4 version. The accessibility hasn't improved and
you can't rip to wav files anymore because they come completely distorted.
Also since Beta 2 there hasn't been a more recent version of Lame included.

To be honest this is one of the best headphones i've ever had.
Probably the best.
THe sound is so crispy and clear but also kind of filling especially in the
base registry.
Its quite detailed sound so i even could hear what they sang in a song which
i couldn't with speakers or other headphones.
Sorry for sounding so pathetic but i have to say i am really happy for

Hi list,

Until now it has presented the cd tracks fine, when he inserted a cd in the
drive.
But this functionality has stopped working. Now Jaws only says Artist
unknown, Album unknown and so on.

Any help will be highly apreciated.
He don’t wanna upgrade to the latest version as it has some issues. For
example it recognises all external drives as a portable music player and
wants to add them, which is annoying.

I know that it makes mention to the ability to toggle on and off the
center microphone, but I can't figure out if it's also possible to
change the degree of stereo separation, the ability to select scenes, as
with some of the cheaper models, the dm-620.
I wasn't sure if I was just missing something in one of the menus, or if
it wasn't available to the ls recorders.
thank you.

I use DVD Shrink; it's old, but rarely fails. Allows you to only
pick parts of the disc (like the main film but miss out the
trailer, for example) and choose things like which subtitle or
audio track/s you want.

ALso, as the name suggests, will if needed compress the video so
it will fit on a standard writable disc.

Sign into your Amazon account. There will be a long list of things to
do with your account. One of the links is entitled Your MP3 Settings.
Hit enter on that and you'll find a couple of check boxes. One is to
permit downloading of mp3s from the Cloud player. As I recall it's
not checked by default. The other check box is to prevent downloading.

When they first instituted the Cloud Player I was having a heck of a
time downloading and having to play tracks, etc. Someone on one of
these lists pointed out that check box to me and now it works much better.

I haven't downloaded anything for a while, but the last time I
purchased some tracks for my daughter a year ago, having the check box
to permit downloads made it much easier to get the tracks.

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem. Followed tips on the
Winamp forum and still Winamp can't find decoders for ripping.

Hey Guys,

When we hit the Rip
button, the CD starts playing. Then, when we hit the Rip All Tracks button,
it brings up an error
message saying that it's unable to rip track 1 because it is unable to find

Anybody know what might be going on here and how to fix it? I've got the

should when I rip a CD.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, the ls12 don't talk and it only have 2 mics wile the ls14 speak
and stil maintain the 3 mics. But those mics sound so close to the
ls100, that I think its stil as good option. Its stil a very quiet
recorder and can also record bloo ray quality. I stil wood want the
ls100 if I can, but I also just wanted the ls14 because of the
dedicated line in jac. I stil love the xlr jacs on the 100 and the
fact that it have both a limiter and compressor instead of just a
limmitor. But I want to try and see how many times I can overdub with
the ls14. I can do another podcast in a wile with samples of both
recorders and hopefully I can figure out the metronoom. At least the
14 uses dubble A batteries.

The Olympus LS-12 recorder appears to be fairly new. It has sound on

looks pretty good to me, any opinions?

hey my friend!
I know how to fix that, once you're in this media player classic probram,
what you can do then, is go in to jaws settings center, and go to that
aplication name which is media player classic, then you tab till you hear
this treeview thing, and in this user options, make sure you set the screen
echo set to off, that's what I did to make it shut up. Hope this helps.

You're posting this to the audio discussion list, so I assume the contents
of the rar archive is audio data. In that case, particularly if it's mp3 or
some similar compressed format you're dealing with, the only way to shrink
the size of the file is to re-encode the files to a lower bitrate. I
wouldn't recommend this for audio quality reasons, obviously. Archiving with
rar, zip or similar programmes works best for text and some
application/programme data, or maybe raw sound or picture stuff...you'll get
the smallest possible result there with maximum rar compression.

Since a RAR file is already compressed, I doubt you'll get much more out
of the compression, but you could check the settings used in the
application you used to generate the RAR file. Sometimes you can trade
off time against the amount of compression. If you didn't create the RAR
file yourself, you can try running it through another compression
application, but as I said, I wouldn't be optimistic that you'd be able
to compress it by another 3x.

hi,
if it's already been compressed you'll definately not be able to compress it
further, and at least not to less than 33 % of it's current sise.
You might be able to split it into smaller chunks though.

Sorry about the delay in answering your question. You would use the f3
and f4 commands to mark where you want to make cuts. You mark the
beginning of where you want to cut, then use your navigation commands to
go forward to the end of where you want to cut, and press f4, then delete.
You can, btw, decide which commands you wish to use for navigating
through the video under the navigation tab in the prefferences under

control+right or left arrow, every ten seconds with shift+ctrl+right or
left arrow, and so forth.

Sorry about the delay in answering your question. You would use the f3
and f4 commands to mark where you want to make cuts. You mark the
beginning of where you want to cut, then use your navigation commands to
go forward to the end of where you want to cut, and press f4, then delete.
You can, btw, decide which commands you wish to use for navigating
through the video under the navigation tab in the prefferences under
tools. For instance, You can move one minute at a time with
control+right or left arrow, every ten seconds with shift+ctrl+right or
left arrow, and so forth.

Hi,
I use this nice program for grabbing some stuff from Youtube, but I think
they’ve dropped a nice feature, or at least I can’t find it anymore.

I had a function where I ggot the dayly top 50 or something like that
downloaded automatically.
It was thrown in a folder under my normal downloads folder named after the
playlist.

But where is that specific function, where you can activate this?

thanks in advance.

Jim,

What is updated with EAC is the LAME codec rather than the interface.
Consider reviewing your version of LAME to determine if it is the
latest stable version. As you know, LAME is downloaded and installed
separately from EAC, although it should be placed in the EAC program
folder to easily find it.

I always use the LAME presets for ripping. These presets have been
created by the community of LAME developers and end users to easily
create the highest quality output by an average audiophile who is not
an audio engineer. One of these presets is for 320 CBR.

A few years ago, I switched to FLAC for ripping all my audio CD's. I
used to rip in 256 VBR MP3, but with dirt cheap storage I can now have
the best sounding music preserved for a lifetime. I still use MP3 for
ripping audio books and spoken word material.

I have ripped my CD collection with EAC and using FLAC as the audio

Using a lossless format gives me excellent audio quality when listening on
my Sonos connected to a external DAC and hifi amplifier.
But the main reason for me to use FLAC and not a lossy format like mp3 is
it
gives me a lot of options when I of some reason need to convert the
file(s)

to a different format.
Storage is cheap and I have my music collection stored on a file server
which is mirrored to a remote server + backup on 2 usb harddrives.

some one give me some help setting this part up? I've only did about 20 of

If there is a better format that the sansa clip and my android phones can

instructions to get it setup and working. It has been a wile since I did
this stuff and I did it at 128 kbps mp3 with heck I do not even remember

Does eac have an update feature to check for latest versions? I have not
ran

Subject: Looking For New Youtube to MP3 Converter

Greetings,

Until very recently I was using youtube-mp3.org with very good success until
the owners of the web page stoppd the Youtube to MP3 video conversion
process under a threat of a lawsuit from Google. I have tried other online
converters, but they seem to crash IE9. The Youtube video to audio
converters I have tried without success include listentoyoutube.com, and
videotomp3.com. I am wondering if anyone has discovered a Youtube to audio
converter that is equal or near equal to Youtube-mp3.org.

I discovered while researching what was behind this sudden and strange
development I was curious as to why Google is playing waterboy for ASCAP.
However, I have subsequently concluded that Google has its own turf to
protect, and it is the ring tone revenues they are likely receiving from the
Android apps markets. IN any event, I would appreciate any suggestions.

TIA

With Station Playlist Studio, at least the pro one, it can be brought in
using the line in control, as Skype can talk to and from VAC and the L will
put it into the air path and out at will. The difficulty would be listening
after the audio processing, as that's the audio the speakers normally get.
There's now a facility around this for the mic control to hear it straight
through, but don't know if it's available for the line one.

I'm not sure if Vac would be a good way to broadcast Skype with a lot of
people, as in, use Skype in to patch calls through, some even from the
phone. In a setup like that, you really need the separate channels and a
virtual splitter on your mic, or an equivalent way of not sending the

The one bad thing I heard of about VAC being a possible problem is the
added
delay. I think each repeater instance by default adds a quarter to half a
second of buffer to keep the audio smooth, but I'm not sure how far down
one
can get away with before you do get skipping. The other thing that
could've
caused your feedback sound over time is that I thought the manual said
that
by being a software emulated device, it tries its best, but cannot quite
keep in sync to the sample rate of the hardware, which could be something
that drifts over time and needs a tear-down and reset.

can you give some examples in whitch the audio repeater would not
needed to be used?
the thing that I didn't perticularly like was the delay when using the
repeater feature, other then that vac was a good program but would
like to know some examples in whitch I wouldn't have to use the audio

repeater.

Incidentally, several versions of the product are shown on the web site.

George, I may be wrong since I have not made a serious attempt to rip
with this program. It is my understanding that although you can burn
many formats, there are no ripping capabilities other than the ability
to copy individual files. Stated another way, although you can copy
files individually, and you can create image files, you cannot just
issue one command and copy an entire CD. It certainly won't hurt my ego
to be wrong because I really like this program regardless of whether it
can rip.

following:

1. Choose the jump to submenu from the navigation menu.
2. Choose title 1 from the above submenu. This usually is the main film.
3. Choose the audio submenu from the navigation menu.
4. Select the appropriate audio track that contains description.
The above step may require trial and error and even extra steps. In my
case, it was the second audio track. But not only that; I had to use Any
DVD to decrypt the audio track. So there's one legitimate use of Any DVD.
But I found this strange! Please can I ask, why would DVD companies
encrypt additional audio tracks? Thanks!
Anyway, I may give DVD Audio Extractor a miss now I know how to use Media

Well, you're correct in a sense. There is still an option. The recorder
idles in record standby. The headphone output can be fed either into an
analog device or to the input of a sound card and hence, a connection to a
computer. It's not exactly a Usb solution but it's workable.

A note of caument. There is no mechanical isolation for the mikes so the
unit is highly susceptible to handling noise.

Hello list: I updated to the latest version of Tapin Radio last night and
have discovered that it seemingly no longer puts the files that you have

Well that surely isn't how it worked for me! After updating to the latest
version, I did find that my favorites list was gone and anything I record
now _does not_ show up in the Tapin Radio folder in my music! However I
did remember that you can go to the record menu and go to that folder in
there and find what you need! BTW-in communicating with Phillip Oldaker, I
have found out that with the next version of Tapin Radio (should be released
sometime next week) it should be easier for us to read some of the dialogs
that Jaws doesn't read as completely as we (or I) would like!

Absolutely no criticism expressed or implied; just a question. Why is
it that whenever a Swedish poster such as Bardia or the other whose name
I do not recall, posts a message, the subject line is always prefaced by
SV. I saved the subject line of the message to which I am replying to

Hi I would like to find a good limiter for win amp.
So that when I am playing MP3 files I don't have to reach for the volume
and

turn it up and down.
While going from file to file because some are softer or louder then
others.

I am using windows 7 home if that helps any.
And if anyone can post where to get any of these limiter suggestions.
So I would have an idea where to get them.
that would be a big help.
Thank you all and have a nice day.

Olympus is releasing an 8 track digital recorder, at the beginning
of February 2012. The unit features voice guidance for all menus. It
includes two built in condenser microphones, as well as two balanced
combination XLR quarter inch inputs for high quality microphones, or to
connect a mixing board. The built in microphones can handle sound
pressure
levels up to 140 decibals, so it will record live bands with clarity and
no
distortion. The LS100 also has an output to connect it to a CD drive,
and

it will enable you to mix down its 8 tracks, to a 2 track stereo mix. It
wil record in 24 bit 96K resolution. This is the preliminary information
I

received from Olympus Japan. The suggested selling price will be $399.

If you are a member of any list serves enabling communication with other

Hi. It is difficult to say. It seems to crash if I do something it

selected
that plug in but each time I go to the configure button and press the

message
or not. I' say no then I get the message the programme is not
responding
and do I want to end it, once I say yes to get out of it, I am asked
again
if I want to send a error message. Maybe you are right, I need to

and then reinstall. The version Ihave now is the standard but maybe I
should select the full version next time. By the way, when I see the
configuration button, I've tried various ways to activate it without
success. Just hitting the
Space bar, pressing the enter key, using the key command Alt+C, I've
even
Routed PC to JAWS and used the mouse keys, again, still crashed.

Hello Walter. Long-time winamp user here, and I find the programme to be
extremely stable. Sometimes though something does seem to happen to the
programme and the only thing that will fix it is a reinstall. This
happened
to me a few times after getting v5.6 or something, but after installing
to

the latest full version I haven't had this problem. Anyway, out of
curiosity, what sort of errors are you getting?

Hi Barry. Thanks for taking the time to explain this. I'm having
trouble

getting the hang of Winamp, I find it crashes a lot and I get a error
message. Once I become more comfortable using the thing then I will
venture
into the plug in thing. How and where do I install this plug in? What
folder does it go into or is it self install? I appreciate your
patients.

Walter.

Hi Walter,

You need to install the SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading Output plugin.
You

can
get it from the Winamp site at
http://www.winamp.com/plugin/sqrsoft-advanced-crossfading-output/32368

Once installed, you will need to open the Winamp preferences with
ctrl+p,

arrow up or down until you get to output, tab to the list
of choices, arrow to the Sqrsoft plugin and press enter. In output,
you

can
also tab to configure where you can adjust various
crossfading and other parameters.

I understand your frustration of learning a new program, but Winamp is
the

player I use the most. Some of the controls are a little
unconventional, but I think once you get to know how it works, you will
like
it for its simplicity and versatility.

Thanks,
Barry Chapman

Hi, I have a wonderful CD called The Many Moods of Christmas. The problem
I

have with it, is if you have the volume up enough to hear the quiet parts,
you are then absolutely blasted, when suddenly, it shifts and becomes very
loud!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I thought may be I could put each track into iTunes as a play list and
then

apply the equalizer? Do you think that might work?

Many thanks for any suggestions! Vicky

Hello Randy and Joe, Spotify is not that accessible, as Joe rightly said,
you can type in what you want and then listen to things but you can't hear
the search results, however I did find that if you press the read line or
title bar hotkey, it will read out the song you are listening to. Also, you
can join Spotify without being invited, and the free service allows you to
listen to songs only 5 times and there is a time limit. They only recently
changed their free service. Spotify unlimited, which allows you to listen to
limitless songs without adds costs £4.99. I think an ap could be written for
Window-Eyes, and I'm not sure if there are scripts for Jaws available for
it.

Hello,

Spottify is a service by which you can listen to an almost limitless
selection of songs in a wide range of genras. As far as I could tell,
there's no ability to listen to radio stations.

You can only join Spotify if someone who is already a member sends you an
invitation. When you are accepted, there are two levels of entry. The free
one gives you access to everything but there are ads. I don't remember what
the fee is but it's worth it if you need to access lots of songs.

You are given an edit box in which you place your search term. The problem
for me was that, having done that, I couldn't read the search results. It
appears to me that the list generated from the search is printed in a non
ASCII form.
I hope someone finds a way around the access issue because it's a great
service. No, you cannot download; you'd have to record the song.

Joe G.

Hello anders!
well, it all depends on which sound card you have, if you have a sound card
with mini tele plugg, then you can go directly, make sure that your tape
deck has RCA connections, then you only need a cable which contains, 2 RCA
cables in the first end, and then in the other end, you should have a plugg
which looks like a headphone plugg for headphones for mp3 players or old

According to what I've been told, Tapin Radio will do this..that is..if you
can get the scheduler to work! What I really love is the fact that Tapin
Radio (from what I am told) records directly from the internet! Therefore,
you can be using the computer; your screen reader can be active, but it will
not get on your recording! That much I know to be true as I've done this
several times! Plus, you can adjust the volume level and it will not affect
the recording!

I'll indeed try that. And see if I can get it to work and if it will record
while I am away from home also.

What would be nice is something that would connect to the stream at the time
the recording should start and then disconnect when the recording is
finished.

It does, indeed, have a scheduler! Unfortunately I've not been able to get

favorites menu (alt-A) then arrow down to where it says scheduling then
hit enter, that'll get it; if you should try it, hope you have better luck
than what I have had! Whenever I try it; when I get down to where it says
create task button, it informs me that the task scheduler is not in
service! It is my understanding that the Tapin Radio scheduler works with
the scheduled task thing in Windows; apparently mine is not turned on and
I don't know how to make it turn on!

Although I'm not familiar with the recording you mentioned, I can say
that, at the dawn of stereophonic sound on phonograph records, London
Records released a recording called A JOURNEY into stereophonic sound.
I'd have to play it to be sure but I think the narrator opened the
recording by saying:

This is a journey into stereo sound.

I don't know if this is the true origin of the sample, but it's my best
guess.

Assuming I'm correct, the recording was an LP, two sides, which took the
listener to many sites, such as the changing of the guard at Buckingham
Palace.

I have it on a cd I made, consisting of various stereo demos. Perhaps you
can search for it. Maybe you can find a copy. It's more than I can
tackle to send it to the list.

I don't know if this is the true origin of the sample, but it's my best
 guess.

Total recorder is a lite featured editor compared to goldwave. I use my
total recorder for editing because in my opinion I can do a better job
with that. Then I use goldwave as my effects editor. I remove hiss and
noise with it provide echo ETC. You could probably use either one for
dictation but High Criteria makes a dictation program. In fact they tell

for it.- Original Message -

What is nice about sweepgen is that you actually don't need any other
programme to make it work.

As the name says it is also a sweep generator which can be handy for testing
things actually

The whole thing works in a dialog box with edit fields and check boxes.
It's as simple as that actually. And it is also quite customisable while
very simple to operate.

Google a free piece of software called Sweepgen. Excellent and completely

Try the link

I used to have a Winamp add-on which would generate tones. The user could
type in the desired frequency in hz and then press enter, after which the
tone would play. I can't remember its name so do not know what to look
for.

I would therefore appreciate it if someone could either point me to that
program or to another which would do the same thing.

Thanks.

Re: Melodyne

2011-05-10 Thread Jörgen Hansson

Hi keeth!
melodyne is a note editor for vocals, you can use the right and left arrows
on your keyboard to listen to the notes of the vocals of the song. then with
a midi keyboard you can edit the actual notes. for example, let's say that
you have a vocal part where a note is a little bit out of pitch, then you
can use tha vocal wave file and go with the left and right arrows, and when
you hear that note which is out of key, you can simply press one of the
notes on the midi keyboard which is coresponding to that note in that key
whoch the song is in.

hope this helps.

Hey! The company am3d makes some absolutely phenomenal 3d binaural sounds
and technology. They were used in a game they released for the blind a few
years back called the Mind's Eye The game wasn't great but the sound was
really good. They also have a 3d demo of an interrogation room that is the
most believable and even spookiest sound demo I've ever heard.
Anyway my point is they have a 3d engine that you used to be able to
download. It was a demo copy. I got it to work with window eyes and I
think JFW though probably not as well since W E works much better using
the mouse cursors and such. I could take a sound and place wherever I
wanted it, I could move the sounds around. As a matter of fact I put one
in a tight circle moving around the head and I got a little sick and dizzy
from it.

Well the last time I visited there website
www.am3d.com
I think you have to order the demo of this engine. I did write them a
letter a few years back asking if I could have the full version just to
explore its accessibility aspects but unfortunately it didn't happen. I
was rather impressed how much I could do considering most 3d audio engines
like that are very graphical.
I'm sure it hasn't changed much and if you write to them you might be able
to get the newest demo of the engine.
BTW I still have the interrogation room audio demo if anyone is
interested. I think it is the best example of binaural 3d audio out there
to date.

thanks for letting me ramble

I have a problem in this regard: My new laptop has Windows 7 as its OS.
I need disk-burning software which works properly with that OS.

Just about all my projects require disk-at-once recording. For this
reason I need a program which provides a means for adding start IDS to my
wavefiles. COULDRWIN doesn't work. CD ARCHITECT is in accessible as is
true of the latest version of Nero.

I'd appreciate any thoughtts you have about this. Thank you very much for

Hello friends!
I have a little problem here, I have a good friend of mine who wanted me
to copy an original DVD film to an emty DVD, but from what I have found
out, this film must be copy protected, and I am wondering if there are
some good accessible free DVD copying programs which can by pass the
protection so that I can help my friend.

any help will be so much appreciated.

Jörgen Hansson!

Hi, I need a solution to record my voice at a high quality, I have a
budget of €200.

I want a portable solution, do you think that a digital recorder can be
used?

I have to record a single mono voice, I'am a native italian speaker and I
need it to produce small spots during holiday periods.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Thanks Jorjen, I've listened to the demonstration of dane, and it seems
very clear. However I need it only for my voice, I don't need a multitrack
one.

Hello!
Once you have bought this recorder, you can try a good headset mike, that
will work in mono.
