Boson Audio Recorder/Editor/Converter For Mac

2016-02-09 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi!

Has anyone heard of this? Its available in the Mac Apps store for $30 so
unfortunately I’m going to have to buy it in order to try it as its only
available from the store, oh well $30 is not $300 is it .

No, I have not heard of that one. Don't recall seeing anybody comment
on any of the Mac-related lists I'm on either.

Maybe check the Apple Vis site before you spend your 30 clams.

To be honest, finding the link to send your complaint about
accessibility is a pain in the rear. What I ended up doing was writing
to accessibility at apple. Of course, they don't help directly. But
they did send me a link to the form you have to fill out that leads to
getting the refund. So if you have a problem, I'd start with them. I
probably wouldn't bother for a 2 dollar app. But for 30 bucks, I'd sure
do it. In my case, it was for 2 iBooks that were a total bust, while
the Kindle versions proved totally readable. Go figure.

Well, I hope it works with voice over. You can get a refund if it
proves inaccessible. At least, that it possible with i-device apps that
prove to be inaccessible or iBooks. So I assume it is possible with a
Mac app.

I wouldn’t have known about it either had it not bee for the Mac Update Twitter
feed I follow, there have been some updates released to it obviously.

I’ve had a look at the web site and the tech specs which look quite impressive.

What on earth went on with the Apple versions of those books? I know
that publishers of books have the right to control accessibility for
their publications but why one platform being accessible and not the other.

Regarding Boson, thankfully there's a dedicated web site for the product
- though you can't purchase the product from there -but you can reach
the developer and that's probably what I'll end up doing if I do
encounter any issues.

No, I don't bother seeking refunds for $2 Apps either though for $30?
Well we'll see, if its totally unusable then yep but if there are fixes
that obviously can be dealt with? Well I'll think about it.
