SV: Latest DeltaPanel Software problems.

2009-08-31 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hello!
I wrote to them a year or so ago about this.
And they were sorry that they have made it inaccessible.
But it seems they haven't done something about it.
I guess they say so to make me stay with my m-audio.
/Anders.

Jim and others, this news is depressing and doesn't surprise me; it was
only a matter of time before M-Audio got around to crappifying the interface
for the Delta series. I have an M-Audio Solo USB Soundcard and I can see
how accessability will have been truly screwed up for us as this interface
is next to useless for screen reader users. Looks very pretty oh yes!

I've yet to see the rest of this thread but you do wonder if these companies
couldn't make the software available to a third party to create an
accessible version which the aesthetically conscious could avoid using. We
have no choice but to be locked out of the interface. Shall carry on
reading this thread as maybe someone's come up with alternative soundcards
with accessible interfaces.

 Yo Folks:

For those who are using the DeltaPanel software: do not install the
latest version of that software. It is totally inaccessible thus
rendering your ability to configure your soundcard as non-existent.

 Cheers.

Peter:

I have not heard any feadback from anyone else concerning this matter.
Using JFW, I did, however, managed to access most of the functions via the
JAWS/Mouse cursor. Rather important since I am running a Delta 66 along with
a Delta 1010.

Cheers.

2009-08-30 Thread Jim Noseworthy

Hey Jude:

To my knowledge, these drivers support all of the Delta family of
soundcards. Furthermore, you can install more than one card on your system
and have separate controls for each card.

Cheers.

Do the delta drivers work on all of the cards or is each driver card
specific. Will the delta 1010 older version work at all with the delta 44?

Thanks,

Yo Folks:

For those who are using the DeltaPanel software: do not install the
latest

version of that software. It is totally inaccessible thus rendering your
ability to configure your soundcard as non-existent.

Cheers.

Re: Latest DeltaPanel Software problems.

2009-08-28 Thread Keith Gillard
Wel had my box rebuilt severl times and the driver off my delta 66 CD
installed and is accessible. I will check with my guy to ask if he updated
the service pack before installing the drivers.

Things are always so differnt from PC to PC.

Cheers.

Hi all Delta soundcard users:

Another problem that you may have is that, if you install ServicePack 3for
XP, it will not allow you to install an earlier version of the DeltaPanel
software than the latest one. Can anyone else varify whether this is or is
not the case? It certainly is on my box.

Thanks all over the place gang.

Jim and others, this news is depressing and doesn't surprise me; it was
 only
a matter of time before M-Audio got around to crappifying the interface
 for
the Delta series. I have an M-Audio Solo USB Soundcard and I can see how
accessability will have been truly screwed up for us as this interface is
 next
to useless for screen reader users. Looks very pretty oh yes!

I've yet to see the rest of this thread but you do wonder if these
 companies
couldn't make the software available to a third party to create an
 accessible
version which the aesthetically conscious could avoid using. We have no
choice but to be locked out of the interface. Shall carry on reading
 this
thread as maybe someone's come up with alternative soundcards with
 accessible
 interfaces.
