Ok, this is going to be a two-parter.

Where's the best place to download the latest Winamp? I went to
Winamp.com, but could not tell whether the program was loading with
either Window-Eyes or JAWS. I haven't upgraded in a while on my desktop
computer.

Second, there used to be a way to display the url for the last stream
played in Winamp but I can't make it appear. I want to add a url to my
list of shows to be recorded with Replay/AV, but can't locate the url.

Thanks in advance for all help.

You can find it on other sites, but I still get it from winamp.com. If you
follow the Download Winamp link near the top of the page, you'll go to the
site http://www.winamp.com/player. There's a little dialog to fill out
beneath the heading Choose your Winamp. The dialog prompts you for things
like language, which version of Winamp you want (I always select full.) and
whether you want to be notified of Winamp announcements.

I've always just used the JAWS support that came standard with JFW. I
think there are some scripts that do help though. Maybe someone else
will chime in with their status.

Hi Peter. If you're running JAWS version 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, or 4.51,
and I'm guessing you are? Support for Winamp is already built
in. Just start using winamp and enjoy it. to get specific help,
press insert plus h for the window you're in, or insert plus w for a
set of keystrokes for any winamp window you might be in.

2009-01-19 Thread Peter Alan Smith
Thanks Chris, that's good to know! The last time I upgraded my winamp,
there was a slight learning curve and some scripts to download. The library
can be a pain if you wander away from the rip and burn section. But I still
like winamp more than windows media player.
Cheers,
Peter

2009-01-18 Thread Peter Alan Smith
Pam, I would be most curious as to what you discover. I have thought about
upgrading my winamp, but haven't heard much about accessibility or scripts.
So I have laid off of any newer versions. It's a drag to upgrade and then
find out things are worse. Let's hope that those who know more about this
reply.

Cheers,

Peter in Charleston
